Great food, lovely surprising starter that was very tasty. Carvery, meats succulent and cooked well. Only 4 choices of veggies, would have preferred a greater selection. Very helpful and friendly staff. Would return again for Sunday carvery

Meal was excellent. Requested a different sauce with the steak and it was no problem. Staff were efficient, professional and friendly. Experience faultless! Will return.

The staff at the Newby Bridge were brilliant - we were a party of 8 ( 4 kids and a dog) ! They moved the seating for us out the back in the garden as it was a glorious day - nothing was too much trouble . The food was lovely , all the staff were really friendly . Would highly recommend 😊

Helpful & pleasant staff. Menu choice varied & tasty. Could do with turning down the lighting in the evening. Could do with a better choice of background music than disco.

Pleasant hotel which is very dog friendly. Pool sauna and jacuzzi very welcome and 'gym' useful though cramped. Food fine though as we were eating in the bar area (with dog) didn't experience the dining room. Good range of wines and beers.

Snug bar for drinks and a good menu in the restaurant with the desserts a highlight - wines are well priced and the service very friendly and overall a good evening out (well in as we were staying there too!)

The Huntsman's bar offered traditional pub grub in a slightly tired setting. The main course gammon was fine. However the pudding choice was poor - only 3 and the strawberries and cream was appalling value for £5.95 it consisted of 2 spoons of cream and about 2 small strawberries diced up.

Poor menu choices from the restaurant. Sirloin steak wasn't cooked as ordered (medium) was more raw & wasn't very appetising at all. Really didn't enjoy dinner in the restaurant, and wouldn't recommend.

I think they are a bit short staffed. Carvery was good could have done with a bit more choice of vegetables.the dining room is nice after the refit.

Stunning food, excellent presentation and superb customer service. Highly recommended. Service was quick and the waitress was very personable. The fish was cooked perfectly and the Italian vegetarian option was beautiful, served in a 'bowl' made purely from melted Parmesan. Amazing.
