About The Ottoman Grill

At The Ottoman Grill you can experience a taste of Turkey without even leaving Exeter. A haven for meat lovers, The Ottoman Grill boasts a genuine copper charcoal barbeque, you can even sit around it and have a go cooking for yourself! As well as mouthwatering charcoal-grilled meats, the menu at The Ottoman Grill is bursting with other Mediterranean favourites. We recommend whetting your appetite with some meze like the homemade falafel or calamari before moving on to some traditional moussaka or the veg imam bayildi (aubergine stuffed with peppers, onion, garlic, tomato, simmered in olive oil). Located on Guinea Street, The Ottoman Grill attracts diners from all over to its city centre location. Book a table now!

The restaurant has changed a little bit but it still represents the best value in Exeter. The grill produces top class Mediterranean food, it’s all very tasty!

First, but definitely not last, visit to this hidden gem of a delightful Turkish restaurant, tucked away near Exeter cathedral, directly opposite the covered NCP car park. Lovely clean, open plan restaurant, ideal for groups, couples and singles. Pretty coloured-glass lantern lights, fresh flowers, copper-canopied grill and friendly, warm service transported me to a balmy place far away from the Exeter wind and rain. The grilled king prawns were lovely, in a wonderful sauce, which just begged to be mopped-up with the complimentary, light rolls. The "Chef's Special" octopus which followed certainly lived-up to its billing, marinated to a beautiful softness and grilled to an incredible charcoal-infused flavour - I didn't believe octopus could be this tender and taste this good!..... The kunefe dessert which followed was specially cooked to order, and well worth the wait. Certainly sweet, but a sin to resist, so give-in to temptation and enjoy the pleasure, better still share it with someone special! I just don't know why it has taken me so long to find this special place!

Amazing! Great food and service, huge portions, good atmosphere, opposite a car park which is handy, can’t fault it. Highly recommended for adults and kids :-)
