At The Ottoman Grill you can experience a taste of Turkey without even leaving Exeter. A haven for meat lovers, The Ottoman Grill boasts a genuine copper charcoal barbeque, you can even sit around it and have a go cooking for yourself! As well as mouthwatering charcoal-grilled meats, the menu at The Ottoman Grill is bursting with other Mediterranean favourites. We recommend whetting your appetite with some meze like the homemade falafel or calamari before moving on to some traditional moussaka or the veg imam bayildi (aubergine stuffed with peppers, onion, garlic, tomato, simmered in olive oil). Located on Guinea Street, The Ottoman Grill attracts diners from all over to its city centre location. Book a table now!
We had a lovely meal last night. The food was excellent. A couple of us had the shared meat platter cooked on the grill and it was really tasty and a really good plateful for 2 people. It was a mixture of chicken and lamb cooked different ways, served with fried potatoes, rice and salad and was like a really high class barbeque! The staff were very friendly and attentive. Recommended. We will be back soon!
Really friendly and helpful staff, and delicious food. What more can you ask for? We had a limited amount of timer due to theatre commitments and the staff were great in serving starter and main in good time.
Great food and reasonably priced too. We had the mezze to start - plenty of food. Followed that with a shared mixed grill that was cooked in front of us. My vegan daughter was also well catered for! Will be back!
Fantastic fresh and tasty food. We really enjoyed every single dish we had. While we choose our dishes we were given nice spicy olives. Service was very attentive and we ought to go back to explore and try all the other dishes. Highly recommend!
The shared starter (veggie) Mezze was superb. Can't wait to have it again. Fresh tasting and having a homemade authentic feel. Mains grilled meats were cooked perfectly with both lamb and chicken really succulent and tender. Sides were fine, at least the Barrar Hatta? and Bulgar; but the salad was very over dressed with too many ingredients. Service was perfect (until a group of 24 turned up who hadn't pre booked meals). Cant blame restoring for that. All in all an enjoyable experience and we shall certainly return.
It was quiet ,but expected on a Sunday night .Didnt affect our evening / experience ,as with good friends . Service excellent /friendly & obliging .Loved the food , traditional & tasty .Will definitely return , as its great to have a restaurant locally that serves traditional Turkish food .
We ate early so it was quiet, but food and service were both very good. Food all cooked to order on a BBQ in the restaurant so you can see what's going on, it was a new and different experience and the food was great. Waiter was friendly and helpful. Will definitely go again next time we're in Exeter.
Nice food and friendly staff, they also had my favourite Turkish dessert Kunafeh/Kunafa. which you don't see very often on menus in this country. They also catered for me in regards to the starters where I'm partial to Sucuk as one of my hot meze choices.
Excellent service. Staff went all out to make a great experience on our visit. Couldn't ask for a better service. Lots of choice and great portion size. This was our third visit and can't wait to go again☺
We visited Ottoman Grill several times and each time we had excellent food and very friendly staff. Ottoman Grill now our favourite Restaurant for meeting with friends. My wife also booked their Christmas party with them. Highly recommended.
