Outstanding Sunday lunch from start to finish. Every dish screamed quality, full of flavour & perfectly presented. Personal service front of house. A must visit

Very good food different to and better than most Sunday roasts in the area. Nice range of veg, quality meat, excellent wine choices but the gravy maketh the meal. Decent knowledgeable service and nice atmosphere. It's not a pub but even so the beer selection could be improved. Overall an excellent meal.

Simply the best restaurant in Newcastle. Nick and his team never fail to impress with seasonal well thought out menus and a natural wine list to rival any. I cannot recommend this place enough.

We had the three course set menu. As it usually happens with some places this was a bit underwhelming as the presentation of the dishes is not to the standard of the regular prices and the dessert was quite boring. You can make pana cotta exciting. The service is great! I would have put a bit more care with the main room's decoration too. It was good but not great.

Excellent service matched with the wonderful food. The hoggett was definitely a high point along. Lovely atmosphere in the restaurant it self thanks for a lovely early evening

Delicious food, Great service and a relaxed atmosphere. The beetroot starter was particularly delicious. Thanks to all the staff for a lovely evening to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

Food was nice, service was good. Very quiet on a Sunday. And very dark! Switch a light on or paint the place a different colour.

Really friendly staff. Early evening menu was £25 for 3 courses. I had chicken liver pate. Hint of brandy, perfectly smooth and served with toasted brioche - so generous I took half home in a doggie bag! Crab and tomato pasta was dainty and delicious and pana cotta with a great wobble. First trip. Will not be the last.
