If the craving for a freshly made cocktail or beer and delicious food in the sunshine comes along, in Northallerton there’s of course only one place you should be thinking about visiting. The Potting Shed in Northallerton boasts a relaxing sun terrace and beer garden, perfect for whiling away the morning or afternoon, and well into the evening. This High Street restaurant and bar, in the heart of the city centre on the corner of Friarage Street, is packed with an array of international-style fare you really should be getting around.
If you like the idea of sipping a dark & stormy, honey & mint julep or English country garden (an English take on the mojito with gin, elderflower and cucumber) in an eclectic, colourful ‘potting shed’, well The Potting Shed is the place for you. Pair those tasty tipples alongside tasty international dishes like the gnome burger with a beef and chicken breast, spicy Sicilian sausage, bacon, cheese and onion rings, – one serious burger believe us – a tasty margarita pizza or Spanish style prawns cooked with garlic and chilli, and boy do you have yourself a time.
The Potting Shed is one of the most vibrant and must-visit spots in Northallerton. Situated in the city centre of this quaint market town, The Potting Shed has locals buzzing for not only its stellar range of international dishes, or it’s expertly mixed cocktails, but simply for being a place to relax, enjoy wonderful company and take in the inspired decor of this city centre hotspot. So whether you’re after a casual drink with friends, after some small tapas sharing plates or in the mood for a fully fledged meal with the whole family, The Potting Shed in Northallerton is not to be missed. Located on High Street, booking ahead is essential.
Lovely food, drinks and atmosphere. Would highly recommend! Had a singer on which we weren’t expecting and she was great. Staff gave excellent customer service!
Thanks for getting my three bookings seated together and the staff worked very hard to get the 13 of us fed and watered quickly and out in time for the fireworks 🎇🎆
The menu was very varied and there were a variety of veggie dishes, something I don't often find in restaurants. Our choice of Halloumi kebabs was delicious. The food was served really quickly and staff were pleasant and helpful. Half price veggie Tuesday was an unexpected bonus. Lovely surroundings and excellent meal. We'll be back soon!
