The fish & chips were really delicious - best I have tasted for a long time - and very nicely presented. Service was excellent - prompt and efficient. The atmosphere in the restaurant was pleasant. We had been before when the noise levels were a bit high, but this time it was not an issue. Very enjoyable experience all round. We live locally and will be back.
Best place to eat in dorking. Staff were lovely and attentive, even when we had five kids to feed.
Very nice evening with family. Staff were attentive, food was good and were never rushed. Look forward to my next visit.
Fantastic service and great food. Couldn’t ask for more for a Sunday treat xxx
A very relaxed place with excellent food and well trained, friendly, professional staff. I had the delicious starter off the specials board - mushrooms with red peppers and other lovely bits on a slice of toasted, slightly garlicky sourdough, with a separate blue cheese sauce in a little jug. I then had the small portion of lightly battered Cornish hake with minty pea puree, tartare sauce and rosemary salted chips. All beautifully presented and served with a smile.
I have been to the restaurant several times but it was the first time for my friends. They loved it and said they would definitely be back. The only comment I would have is that, if you have a table by the kitchen, sometimes the music coming from the kitchen is quite loud. It may be an idea to ask the chefs to turn it down a little? Apart from that is is excellent and I am a return customer!
The eating area of the pub is very well organised and the food is presented very well, although there was a gap in all the meals being brought to the table. The fish dishes and salads were very tasty but the burger was solid and had a bought in texture. The puddings finished off the meal nicely, even though our first Brownie was dry but a new tasty one was soon brought to replace this, we will be back.
We had an excellent lunch today; my dad thoroughly enjoyed his Cumberland sausage main course. The service was good, thank you. I thank our waitress too for putting the remainder of my meal into a box to take home - I haven't been well lately and my appetite is very small. We will return - having been for a variety of different bar meals / drinks only / Christmas 'Book Club' meal and lunchtimes. Thank you once again.
We had a lovely time at The Queens Head. Really yummy food and attentive service, they even accommodated my husbands strange food requests. We would definitely go back.
Food and service were excellent. The kitchen staff deserve high praise for the quality of the ingredients and their attention to detail in cooking and presenting. The only criticism was the almost deafening level of noise in this full and very busy pub/restaurant. The internal design and refit looks great but there’s no soft surfaces to absorb the sound, so pack your ear-defenders!!
