Good food in a local pub that is always busy. The choice on the menu is varied and freshly cooked from scratch they also do gluten free food. The staff are pleasant and helpful and the surroundings are comfortable.
Very glad we booked online as it was extremely busy Good service from very busy staff and a pleasant meal although rather large portion for me but not for my eating companions!
I treated my friend to a meal at the Riccarton Inn last night as a thank you. We had a lovely meal and the staff were very helpful. She had not been there before but was impressed and said that she will return. A nice evening. Thank you!
Four of us had a great value meal with good choices available and an excellent pudding. Great for an evening out with friends. Give it a go.
Thursday night and not too busy. Food was lovely and service was very good . Parking round rear of establishment makes it stress free too.
Went on a Thursday night and was busy but service was still very good and didn't wait long at all for food and drinks. Food is reasonably priced and tastes lovely and the staff were all very friendly.
Steal pie was full of lumps of fat, chicken pie so full of salt it was horrible and an avocado salad that looked like a horror movie as it was drowned in beetroot juice. Service still hasn't changed, still poor with staff looking as miserable as ever. Pub had football turned up for the drinkers so talking was difficult as it was so loud. Not a pleasant dining experience.
This is a lovely pub with a small restaurant area at the back, great food especially the ham hock pie. Good value for money as well. Highly recommended for 2 to 6 people.
Wonderful restaurant with friendly attentive knowledgeable staff. Food was amazing and beautiful cooked and presented. Highly recommend..I would be first. Definitely be returning. Thank you for a lovely evening.
Good food, friendly staff. Burger was good and the fish and chips are well worth a try. Desserts were great too. Nice friendly atmosphere, all in all, a lovely meal!
Really nice relaxed atmosphere in this family orientated pub. The service was good attentive but not overbearing. Menu not extensive but nice range of good food on offer. Reasonably priced all in all a very pleasant evening and as local will definitely be back.
Great location lovely ambience fantastic place to enjoy a lovely Bar Meal varied selection of options , great staff - will return very soon - Food was excellant
Great food, lovely service it is good friendly pub with good range of dishes on the menu and do great fish and chips. The staff are attentive and friendly.
Great food and really prompt service. A lovely hidden gem of a restaurant, with a fresh menu and wonderfully culled specials too! We will be back
A comfortable overnight stay. Thankful for the fan heater provided in the bedroom as it was a bit on the cold side in the room to begin with but soon warmed up. Really lovely meal in the evening with good service. I gave a 5 rating because in the morning the breakfast service wasn't so good although once our order for a cooked breakfast was finally taken it was delicious when it arrrived, as was the coffee. I would definitely stay again at the Riccarton Inn as it is excellent value for money.
Very poor service took 3 hrs to serve 3 courses and it didn't look busy. Also cold food, won't be back. Shame the decor and the menu was nice.
Lovely homely restaurant/ bar but your booking system failed us. Riccarton had no notice of our booking and kindly made a table up in spite of being fully booked.
Food is very nice and staff friendly and helpful. Decor very nice and it has a very nice atmosphere - always busy. Food is reasonably priced.
Soup could have been a bit hotter but otherwise very tasty. The main meal was excellent and the staff were very attentive so can't fault anything.
Long wait for food. Seated in an empty room away from the main area. Then a noisy party came in to sit at the next table.
Great food, with vegetarian options and fabulous deserts. Excellent establishment and nice atmosphere, handy off street parking with plenty of spaces, and seating outside, if desired.
Service was very good and chef was very accomodating. Temperature of the restaurant was a little cold for me but would definitey come again : )
Hadn't been for months. Came as a recommendation from a family member who had been a few weeks ago. We usually go to the sister pub Kinleith Mill and we have been on and off over the past few years but have tired of their menu...it just never changes . Our server Julie was very attentive and patient as the menu was so good we couldn't decide. Starters we're v.good and mains were huge...especially the fish & chips...Food was served hot and we didn't have long to wait. Will defiantly recommend and return .
Good food and good beers. What’s not to like. Excellent.
Really tasty food and very reasonably priced, service was a little slow but the guy was absolutely lovely and apologetic so we didn't really mind. Will definitely be going back again.
We've driven past this place so many times and didn't know what we were missing! We both had the roast of the day (beef) which was e. Ellen's and served with all the trimmings you would expect. The veg were nice and fresh and not overlooked and two types of potatoes. I would certainly recommend the Ticcarton Inn and we will be back. Thank you.
