About The Riverside Brasserie

The Riverside Brasserie on Monkey Island Lane is a peaceful place on the Thames in Bray Marina. The classical french restaurant with Mediterranean influences knows how to satisfy not just from a culinary standpoint. It offers astonishing views over the river. Especially in the afternoon when the sun sets over the city, it is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of chilly French white wine. With as much emphasis on the food as on the wine it is the perfect location for romance, relaxing, fun or just hanging out.

More about The Riverside Brasserie, Maidenhead

We would like to share an insider tip with you. The Riverside Brasserie in Bray Marina. Located on Monkey Island Lane, this incredible place has the right mix of fantastic food and astonishing surroundings. Now back after a short close-down, with a new management and ownership, the quality of this restaurant and it's food increased to the culinary climax. The brasserie is housed in a building resembling nothing more than a boat house, an exceptionally light and calming place to be. During the warmer seasons, there's only one place to be- the terrace, cause nothing beats sitting by the Thames on a sunny day. Right, the great view over the Thames is just one reason why this all-round talent is worth a visit.

The menu goes through a range of dishes that can be described as classically French cuisine with Mediterranean influences. Choose the braised creamy boudin blanc on braised salty, porkiness lentils as starter, or the escabeche of red mullet, a gloriously fresh filet served with saffron infused pickled vegetables. Your main course may be the slow-braised hunk of belly pork, lacquered with honey, mustard and spices. Simply amazing. Who's missing this makes a huge mistake! The Riverside Brassierie in Bray Marina awaits you!

I thought that the restaurant was lovely. We invited our friends to celebrate our wedding anniversary with us and I was anxious that everything would go smoothly as our guests had to drive some distance to the restaurant. I need not have worried. The food was excellent and the portions were generous. The service was very professional. Although we were sitting inside, the large picture windows with a view onto the terrace and the river give a feeling of being outdoors.

Good food well prepared and presented. Good service, attentive but not "in your face". Pleasant environment with good lighting and well chosen music which was not so loud as to be intrusive. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.

I really like this restaurant. Love the quirky location and on a warm summers day it is simply beautiful. Service is generally very good with lots of nice simple classic options on the menu... I do feel that they could improve their Sunday Lunch Fayre....the chef needs to master the English roast !!! However, I always look forward to a lunch/dinner at the Brasserie....worth the extra effort in travel time from Sunningdale.

Good staff, great location, good atmosphere, the main course was very run of the mill, the potatoes and gravy need some serious improvement. The crumble needed a crunchier topping. Roast pork without crackling is sad. But I would go again because sometimes ok food is alright because of the setting! A lot of competition in the area though!
