Very tasty food, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Perfect for Sunday roast. We had a lovely afternoon there and we enjoyed our dinner. We will come back.

Really tasty food and a very friendly waitress. They didn't rush us afterwards and we stayed all evening - it all made a very pleasant eating experience.

A nice Sunday Lunch with excellent ale to boot. Lots of veg , lovely gravy and a huge Yorkshire...this really hits the spot! Well worth a try

Lovely food and cosy atmosphere. Excellent location which is central to all major York attractions. Service was great, couldn't fault them. Went for a birthday meal.

Very polite and helpful staff. Food was very good. Booked over the internet and although it was busy our table was ready upon arrival. Would recommend the establishment without reservation.

Great food and service would come again I had a Lovely roast beef dinner with enormous Yorkshire puddings and my companion had really good fish and triple cooked chips

Fish and chips was lovely, but other two meals ordered were cold in middle. One meal was sent back (chicken), and even on return was not hot all way through. Disappointing, as used to rate this place highly. Bar and waiting staff were very helpful and attentive however.

We both had fillet steak, food tasted great, well cooked, generous portions. Drinks were reasonably priced. Service was prompt and friendly. Would definitely eat here again.
