Wonderful service . Friendly staff . Lovely ambiance . We had a great 60th birthday party for my husband.
Perfect very tasty food helpful and friendly staff, good menu loved the chicken tikka masala,I I I I I I I I 😁😁 yum yum
There were 3 of us and we all love Indian food. We had been here absolutely years ago and had lovely food. Tonight was not a disappointment as the duck, chicken and breads were delcious. The service was top class and we will certainly be back.
Beautiful food, such a wide choice on the menu, love the mix and match idea. Ecellent service, staff very attentive and helpful. This was our 3rd visit, wont be our last.
On arrival we were given a pleasant welcome and were shown to a table directly adjacent to the kitchen and very close to another couple despite a number of other better tables available. Our order was taken promptly and a our wine soon arrived but it was some 25 minutes before our dips were provided. We were somewhat surprised that the menu was for both the Green Room AND The Spice Club, a clear consequence of which was a more limited choice of Indian dishes. We were unable to get our preferred choices of Chicken Tikka Passanda or Chicken Korma, though the food we did get was of a good standard, even if not our preferred choice. The rice was excellent and plentiful but the nan bread was underdone. Certainly not our worst, or best, eating out experience!
Poor service, though staff were friendly. Had to ask for wine list and then the wine we ordered did not arrive until the waitress brought the starter, despite having been ordered well in advance. The kitchen sent the wrong main course to my dining companion, when this was pointed out, it was removed, leaving me to either eat my food alone or wait until the correct meal arrived by which time my food would be cold. The menu did not point out if mains were served with accompanying rice, we ordered some only to be served timbales of rice, on the plates making the extra rice unnecessary. We pointed it out when settling the bill but the cashier was uninterested in addressing this point. The fish was pleasantly spiced though over cooked, the duck was adequately tender and the sauce was good. Overall, a disappointing experience.
Overall, we were disappointed with both the service and the meal. Staff were busy and after delivering the food, they never came back to the table to check that things were OK and it was difficult to get their attention when wanting to order another drink or when we wanted to pay the bill. The food seemed to be pre-cooked and then just heated before serving. The food on the starter platter was dry and the Nan bread tasted as if it was day old, and again re-heated. I would not recommend the restaurant as there are a number of more authentic Indian restaurants in Belfast that are much better.
We always enjoy our meals at Spice Club, Crowne Plaza Shaws Bridge. The menu selection is excellent and the food is of high quality. All the staff are warm, friendly and attentive. We are made to feel most welcome and we look forward to our next visit.
UNFORTUNATELY THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE TANDOOR OVEN AND THE SPICE CLUB WAS CLOSED. INSTEAD WE ATE IN THE OTHER RESTAURANT WHICH WAS REALLY ENJOYABLE.THE FOOD WAS LOVELY AND THERE WAS A GOOD VARIETY OF DISHES TO CHOOSE FROM(STARTER,MAIN AND DESSERT). THE STAFF WERE MOST APOLOGETIC AND VERY HELPFUL.OVERALL A GREAT EXPERIENCE. THANK YOU.
Excellent meal, rice was to die for, service was first class. A very pleasant evening all round. The only demerit would be the meals could be slightly warmer or serving dishes better at retaining heat of food.
