First time visiting the spotted cow for food. It was delicious especially the soup of day which was mushroom and tarragon and we left satisfied and full.

Lovely to be back in the pub again and having a great meal. Only small criticism was the turkey was overly dry but everything else was lovely.

Food good staff friendly. Only draw back the steps up to the restaurant were to steep for one of our party to manage.

We clearly went at the wrong time of the year (as we have had really good meals here in the past). The meals were greasy and basic with little choice. The vegetarian meals were the best option and tasty but the fish and the chips and hash brownies really not good at all....And with the drinks all was expensive for what we got.

We been there ones before. We came back because food and hospitality is amazing. Our little 4yo got the fish goujons with chips and beans. Me duck patè as starter and turkey Christmas Roast with a pinot noir from Romania. My husband Guinea Fowl with veg and mash. Brownies for dessert. What to said: just always so tasty that we cannot reccommend enough. Perfect home feeling atmospher.

Lovely roast turkey from the Festive lunch menu, in a lovely setting with good service (although we wanted the bill sooner). They were kind enough to make a special plate for my autistic godson who only eats chicken, too (we pretended turkey was chicken). I always feel, though, that the desserts are a little overpriced. But everything is delicious so I can forgive them. Easy to recommend.

Booked for Sunday lunch with my 94yr mother at 13:45 and found there were no Sunday roast meals remaining. Vegetarian but roast extremely poor and remaining menu options poor. Will not be back.

It was average. Waited ages for our drinks to come. Food was trying to be cotempory but bland and only just warm. Sunday lunch would have been better if a traditional roast

Great Sunday Lunch. The service was friendly. It was a shame the Roast Pork did not offer Roast Potatoes. Which was extremely odd ?????????? As our son prefers that option it’s unlikely we’ll return. As our son prefers this option it’s unlikely we’ll return

Perfect meal out with husband and 4 yo daughter. I had a “pie of the day”: Lamb apricot and date pie, with mash potatoes and cabbage. They had burger with chips. Everything absolutely delicious. The restaurant part was very clean and dust-free, with no too many decorations but well kept.. Service fast and staff very friendly. We will came back, for sure!

Spotted Cow has, unfortunately gone down-hill in all respects from food to atmosphere. Menu choice very poor with just one vegetarian option.

Just ok. Had dinner in the spotted cow last night. The restaurant was empty as if it was closed ??. The menu was very small & very limited but thought due to this the food would be excellent. Unfortunately the food was only just ok. We had 2 x fish & chips, burger & sausage with mash - although sausages were chipolatas...even deserts were not good. It was as if the food was all frozen and store bought ?Hmmm not impressed with the food that is most probably why no one else was eating there. My partner was then up most of the night with stomach pains. I wouldn’t recommend eating there & we won’t ever come back. Get the basics right

Have eaten here many times in the past and the menu selection has always seemed much bigger. There were a lot of heavy dishes on the menu but nothing really light. No specials either. Food was nice but a bit underwhelming- not up to the usual standard. Our waitress was lovely though!
