As for the menu? There’s a few ways you can tackle dining at The Stags Head. If you’re visiting during the day we recommend sharing a ploughman's sharing platter brimming with pork pie, cheese, ham, chutney and ciabatta bread or tuck into the hearty Stags Head burger filled with smoked bacon, tomato, pickles, cheese and salad. In the evening, steak lovers should not go past the 35 day aged cuts we spoke about earlier, or feast on the confit pork belly served with black pudding mash, buttery veggies and an apple and sage gravy. Vegetarians are also more than catered for here and the mushroom, parmesan and spinach linguine is melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Also, if you’re in on a Sunday, the Sunday roast from the carvery simply cannot be missed.
