Nice clean pub. Reasonable food and average sized portions. The wait between courses was quite long (40 mins), but the staff were very pleasant. OK value for money. Not bad for a Saturday lunchtime.

We enjoy visiting the Stocks -friendly service -good food -as they are so busy service can be a little slow sometimes.

An old fashioned country inn. I feel needs some updating. We ate on a Sunday evening so Roast dinner was over. The food was very nice but expensive due to home cooked local sourced produce. The menu had the usual choices. I enjoyed it overall.

The only problem was we could smell the smoking outside but that happened at the end of the evening so didn't matter to much.

Even though the place was full service was friendly, timely & efficient. Excellent choice of food well presented. Good draught beer but a little expensive. We shall definitely go again

We have not been to The Stocks for about 40 years so thought it was time to try it again. We had a very pleasant meal sitting in the outside but shaded area. The meal was enjoyed by all 4 of our party and the cheesecake dessert was delicious. Will certainly be going again

We have been to The Stocks a number of times and always enjoyed our meal. We took friends for lunch and weren't disappointed. A very enjoyable experience.

Brilliant food lovely atmosphere Road a tad noisy but we were parked next to it as a large unit. Recommended stopover

it was the 1st time we had been as was very impressed, hard to choose what to have, will have to go back again and try the other things on menu

Good food, good atmosphere, a little cramped with such a large party.

It was unusually noisy, in so far as we had trouble holding a conversation between the four of us. All tables in this part of the restaurant were full. i had not experienced this before as when pre booking a table I have usually been given quieter place. The quieter part of the restaurant had empty tables, next time we will asked to be moved. Otherwise it was excellent service and food.

A very nice meal in pleasant surroundings with such friendly waiting staff who couldn't do enough to make our visit so very nice.

Very good service, a good menu and well cooked food

Was pleasant ambience for a Monday night. Server was very friendly but meals disappointing. Was served and then almost immediately asked if all was ok before we began. Food was alright but disappointing veggie stirfry. Veg was cooked and then served in sauce and mixed with rice altogether. Tasted like normal cooked veg and not stirfry crunchy veg. Also many peas in the mix so seemed like veg previously cooked just mixed up and presented as something else.. Couldn't see anybody to call back and say it wasn't that good. Was edible but not a stirfry and very average at best. Lasagne my friend had was 'alright' but over cooked. Not as good a meal as have had on other occasions.
