The Sun Inn Edinburgh is award-winning and has an unrivalled reputation for great beer, great service and great food. It’s a gastropub in Dalkeith with bags of character and one that champions local Scottish produce to serve breakfast, lunch and dinner all worth getting excited about. Each menu is laced with quality but from the evening a la carte you can expect starters like Loch Fyne oysters served au natural with shallot red wine vinegar and Tabasco sauce, then mains like Border’s lamb rump with a boxty potato pancake, celeriac puree, Hornig’s haggis and calvo nero. You’ll find The Sun Inn Edinburgh on Lothian Bridge, the closest train station being Eskbank. Reserve your table now.
Good food and friendly service at a reasonable price - many lunch options at the one site. Back to usual high standard after a bit of a wobble during building works. The trick now is to maintain/improve in a much larger operation. Bigger is not always better!!
