Bright, airy and clean, the restaurant is refreshingly laidback, providing the perfect environment for studying or reading – there’s even free Wifi and a 10% discount for local university students from Tuesday to Friday from 12 pm to 3 pm – and for relaxing with friends.

The Tapestry in Nottingham’s Hockley recommends that diners take one tapas dish for a starter and three for a main, or simply to mix and match the tapas with bigger courses like paella or those from the Specials Board. Vegetarians have it made here, with an array of options including patatas bravas, empanadillas, aubergine tumbet, and stuffed cherry tomatoes. Meatheads can get on board with tapas like the belly pork, apple and morcilla, the chorizo and judion beans and the Serrano croquettes.
