food was great once again but was let down a little by staff as felt rushed to order. Would still recommend though :-)

We have always had delicious food at this restaurant. The service likewise is always good with polite waiters. The location is very good for Waterloo Station.

Doesn't look very inspiring from the outside, particularly given the location, but don't be deceived by appearances. I took a group of non-UK colleagues, some of whom had never had a curry before, so I wanted their experience of a British Indian restaurant to be as typical as it could be. We tied it onto the end of a walk along the South Bank from Blackfriars to the London Eye. This is clearly a very popular restaurant. Inside, it's a busy Indian restaurant, and whilst the decor is a little tired, the atmosphere is excellent. It was very busy when we were there, but service and food quality was very good. The menu is particularly extensive and very reasonably priced for Central London. Great reviews from all my colleagues, on not only the food but also the experience. I would eagerly go back with family, friends and other colleagues if I get the opportunity.

We booked a table for early evening before a concert on the South Bank and found the service and quality of the food both excellent and will certainly return.

Nice enough food, decent location for those getting the train, will return. Careful on the meal deal though, "any dish" does not mean any dish! ;)

The food took an hour to arrive and the manager would not apologise. He tried to convince us we'd only been waiting 20 mins. Not impressed.

I was impressed with the menu and will say, the food was quite good. My only complaint is the service...its was quite slow and when ordering we were reminded of the 'rules' on eating in at the restaurant. Apparently, you MUST order a main dish for each person otherwise you can't order. I've never witnessed such a thing but what was most puzzling was that my friend and I were ordering 2 starters and a main to share but that still wasn't enough for us to place our order. In any case we ended up cancelling a starter to order another main but missed out on trying/having the starter that I wanted as it's one of my favorite Gujarati foods that is not served in most typical Indian restaurants. I would eat from here again but probably not in the restaurant which is quite a shame.

The food was out of this world! The menu offerings were many, it made it difficult to decide on what to order. The only thing lacking was the service. Just not real friendly to those who weren't regulars.

Very good food, friendly staff, clean and cosy premises. Definitely THE place to be for quality Indian. Would have rated 6 if there had been more choices for desserts other than ice cream :)
