Since 1967, The Tiroler Hut, London has been been bringing a piece of Austria to Notting Hill, with waiters dressed in lederhosen, yodelling and traditional Austrian decor setting the scene for a fun evening out. On the menu you’ll find authentic Austrian dishes, from weinbergschnecken (escargot in garlic butter) and herring nach art des hauses (sweet & sour herring topped with sour cream, sliced apple and onion rings) for starters, to delicious mains like the jägerschnitzel mit spätzle (pork fillet with mushroom sauce, thimble egg dumplings and noodles or rice) and an array of Austrian and German beers to complete the experience. The ideal location for a group gathering with its live entertainment, you’ll find The Tiroler Hut in London on Westbourne Grove. To avoid disappointment, booking a table in advance is recommended.
Allright food, amazing ambience and good old Joseph still playng his instruments and running about the restaurant as always. When you come here, you know what you get.
Very friendly and helpful staff, the fondue was lovely but the food was all a little over-priced and it did feel a little touristy. I'd go back though as it was a great experience and quite unique.
amazing place and great food. My go to restaurant in London.
One of the most lively and long-standing restaurants in London, The Tiroler Hut showcases the very best of Austrian cuisine. This is much more than your usual restaurant, however... Because not only will you be treated to an extensive menu brimming with traditional Austrian fare, but you’ll also be in for a show as well. Host Joseph, is a standout and his yodelling, accordion-playing performance with the unique Tirolean cowbell draws crowds from all over to this cosy Notting Hill restaurant. The restaurant itself is reminiscent of a classic European bar and restaurant with low lighting, exposed brick and classic decor that compliments The Tiroler Hut’s menu just perfectly.
Speaking of the menu… at The Tiroler Hut we recommend kicking things off with several starters to share such as König’s Garnelen king prawns served in garlic butter, bratwurst and käsespätzle of cheese noodles and browned onions. Then, tuck into a traditional gebratene Schweinshax’n of roast pork knuckle served with potatoes and red cabbage, Viennese-style entrecote steak topped with fried onions, fresh vegetables and fries called wiener rostbraten, or the käspress Knödel (cheese dumplings with salad). This is a unique and truly special London dining experience, so head to The Tiroler Hut in Notting Hill on Westbourne Grove and feast like a king! Guten Appetit!
