Beer festival- best in class , great choice of interesting brews at fair prices. Great live music. Food always good , staff always friendly & helpful . I travel all around the world, but I‘m always at home in The Venue .

It was so easy to book via Quandoo. Our table was reserved in the window as we requested. The food as always was great and our chosen wine chilled and delicious. The restaurant was very busy but this never affected service.

Meal was nice but was expecting the watch a live act in stead of a DJ playing CD'S instead disappointed then left to go elsewhere

Always get a great meal and service, good choice however wish there were more vegan options for starters, main and deserts, no sides are vegan. With veganism become more mainstream it would be nice to see more range on the menu. We would go more often if a larger vegan range available. Other than that it seems a brilliant place to go for a meal for small families and large functions.

The Service was good considering we were a party of 14.

Fantastic meal, service was efficient and didn’t have to wait too long between courses. We have been coming here for years, and we have never had a bad meal, or had to complain about the service.

Once again the monthly visit to the Venue by 10 of our bowling ladies was a lovely experience with very good service and lovely food served by staff who are very commited to serving their customers and making the customers experience as good as possible

The food was absolutely out of this world .first class.i had the chicken n mushroom from the celiac range and it was massive . Food came very very quick .staff at first were a bit slow in taking our order and some cpuld have smiled n looked liked they were happy to be there . But will be going back again . Price wise of food is same as everywhere else . Drinks are very expensive though .and they even put some balloons on table for daughter .loved it thanks venue

Used the venue for over 15 years because it's so pleasant food always excellent as is the choice. It's easy access for disabled and the staff we've always found extremely helpful.

Great food chosen from an enormous range of menus. Good service. Lovely views. Only downside was that the heater right by our table was blowing hot air in our faces the whole time. We will definitely visit again

The bowling team have lunch at the Venue once a month which is always a lovely experience . On our last visit although the restaurant was full with lots of parties for Christmas lunches we received our usual high standard from all the staff.

Enjoyed my visit the staff can not do enough for you to make your visit a good one. The food is very good and well presented.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, however the chillie arrived and was still cold in the middle and had to be returned and the crumble was so hard from overcooking we couldn't eat it so was given a refund. Very usual for the venue because usually the meals are very well presented and cooked properly. It won't put us off going again because this is the first time we've had to complain and have been using the venue for over 12 years.

Wrong Sunday lunch dinner came out. Not offered any condiments for our meals or children's meals. Asked for mulled wine at the bar and was told they didn't have any, when they did.

Ate here with two colleagues last night and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The food was delicious, the decorations for Christmas were modern and very in keeping with the building. Staff that served us both at the bar and with food were lovely. Plenty of choice from the different menus, definitely something for everyone. It was very clean and tidy, including the toilets. I would certainly recommend a visit. The Christmas menu they have at the moment looks very interesting!

Was a bit disappointed to be honest after reading the good reviews, I wouldn’t go again , I had Sunday dinner,which was barely warm, and because it was a gluten free meal they had over faced me with over half a plate full of green veg, There is no excuse nowadays to not serve an equivalent gluten free I.e. Yorkshire puddings and trimmings Was disappointed there fish and chips would just be poached fish!, again no need , I will stick with my usual pub dining where they serve the most delicious gluten free battered fish and chips

Hi WE GO TO THE VENUE AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK. FRIDAY NIGHT WITH MY FRIENDS WAS AS ALWAYS A LOVELY EXPERIENCE WITH GOOD FOOD AND THE STAFF WERE SO ATTENDIFE MAKING SURE WE HAD THE MOST ENJOYABLE EVENING POSSIBLE THANK FOR A LOVELY EVENING AND LOVELY FOOD.

Great service and a lovely meal. Liked the wall decor with some lovely prints of local buildings, however the dining area needs a bit of colour and livening up. Unfortunately the window in the gents toilet was really dirty and this detracted from the overall cleanliness of the place. Overall we enjoyed our meal and the the staff were both attentive and polite. As a result we will return for another meal in the future.

Long time since we have been. Great value for money for the early bird menu. Lovely food and good selection of drinks available. Nice views over to the sea. Will be back.
