We had a lovely meal at The Vine last night. The food is cooked to order which is always a bonus. I think I had the best Fondant potato I've ever had. How the Chef can get that much flavour into a potato is beyond me but I could quite happily sit and eat a plate full of them. The Vine is dog friendly in the bar too which is very welcome.

Excellent meal, great atmosphere and good service. Very good value for money. We love this restaurant and will return.

A lovely lunch, good choice and a nice warming fire on a cold day! Well worth a visit. Only criticism, if you’re doing hot pork sandwiches you should have apple sauce available!!!

Unfortunately the shredded duck starter with pancakes had sold out tonight, so we went for the mushroom starter which was ok,but seemed expensive for 1 mushroom plus salad, for main I went the salmon which I had that pre Christmas and it was delicious, but although it read the same on the menu tonight it was totally different tonight with a light chilli sauce, nothing like it stated on the menu,so wether they had ran out of the sauces that the menu read ,I dont know, but it was no where near as nice as usual had I had known they had ran out of the dark sticky sauce that was on at Christmas time I would gave had something totally different ,so disappointed tonight really

Lovely location, friendly staff and extraordinary menu, prepared to a very high standard. A great surprise and truly a “hidden gem” that we will visit again.

Special meal for Christmas. The food was great but the service was very slow. When my husband paid he did get an apology and was told they were exceptionally busy. Our guests (3) must have wondered what was going in. Such a shame as everything else was good!!!!!!

Fantastic food, polite and friendly staff, it's not the first time we have been, everytime we go we always have a lovely evening thanks to the friendly atmosphere and the staff who do everything to make sure you enjoy your evening.

We were booked for 7pm still waiting for main course at 8.30pm and then big gaps in service.

I have known the Vine Inn for several years. This was a impromptu meal on a Monday evening. The Vine usually cooks a range of game and last night was no exception. I had venison steak which was served pink and was very tender and tasty. I was tempted by the pancetta wrapped monk fish tail on the specials board. Another diner had that and said it was very nice. Normally this place is very busy and bustling and can be quite noisy. Monday is often quiet in a lot of eateries which get busier from midweek onwards. I intend to return in the next few weeks.

Great menu, food very good, service good. All in all a good night out.

a lovelu quiant restaurant & bar. the booking system on quandoo was easy & worked well. the waitress was very busy but was very efficient & helpful. food was really tasty & well presented.

Excellent roasted red pepper soup, game pie, haunch of venison and monkfish tail. All our party had a wonderful meal.

Had to wait for a table even though it was reserved not many staff on for a Saturday evening food was nice however the Childs portion was bigger than the adult portions so the kids where full but we was still hungry would not book again sorry
