Very good food and servi e. Very welcoming. Very well positioned and very cosy.. nice open fire and the tables well postioned for a small place. Staff very friendly and polite
The Vine is a great little pub. Food is superb and good value. Always something new to try. Traditional interior, cosy with real fire. Large car park. Service is always good too. Thoroughly recommend as its my favourite place to eat out.
Very very good standard of high quality freshly cooked food. Excellent service, atmosphere and cosy with an open fire. Highly recommended, couldn’t fault it at all.
Excellent food and service. Such a warm welcome on a cold January evening. No rush throughout the evening, just like being in your own dining room. Will certainly return.
Met by very pleasant staff. was shown to our table. We were given plenty of time to choose from the Menu & served a very delightful meal. would definitely recommend to other people & definitely return for another meal.
This is a little gem of a restaurant. The food was lovely and the staff fantastic. Great value for money and good choice of both drinks and meals.
An excellent meal with swift, efficient service. My only complaint ,cold plates, but that won't stop me from returning. This is a cosy country pub with a roaring log fire and a warm welcome to go with it.
Nice little country pub tucked away in the hills. Great food. Attentive and Friendly service. Great additions to the menu from the specials board too.
Great, friendly, polite and professional service. We really appreciated the inclusion of a vegan main course. Good choice of drinks too. Definitely be back soon.
Good quality food with seasonal produce, game and fish and there is also a reasonably priced set lunchtime menu. Excellent service too. Would definitely recommend.
Great food and plenty of it and very reasonable price. The pub is set in its own garden and after dinner it was relaxing to sit in the evening air and have a great pint.
Lovely food and quite a nice pub but service was slow. Not really an issue for us as it was a relaxed Sunday lunch but could be a problem for some
The staff are friendly. It is a pleasant clean pub in a pretty location. The food was distinctly under average. The starter, an exception, - a seafood platter - was well presented, and did have a good selection. The pub prides itself on its selection of game and fish, but they were out of the game pie! The "guinea fowl supreme roasted" was tiny and tasted and looked deep fried. The mash that came with it was twice the size. The mange tout beans included a rotten one. It was barely edible. The vegetarian burger was lower end quality. The accompanying salad was old, limp and tired. The hand cut chips were really potato wedges which could be bettered by almost anyone at home, and again seemed deep fried. The wine with our main course - a Chilean merlot was soft and fruity, and was the only thing we did finish. We gave sweets a miss, and put our visit down to experience.
Overall it was a good dining experience maybe the place is a little bit dated but we quite enjoyed that. Food was excellent and we were looked after with good service.
Welcoming staff and a nice ambience in the restaurant. Original and a bit different menu and we were pleased with our choices. Might be critical of the chef's tendency to sweeten everything. Also, the wine list was slightly disappointing.
Always great food here, traditional options (fish and chips, local speciality sausages with mash and red cabbage) or more unusual such as place pappoilettes filled with smoked salmon, something for all tastes and great value. They also take gourmet card.Quaint old fashioned English country pub well worth a visit.
Nice cosy little pub, staff efficient but unfriendly. Menu excellent on paper, not quite as good in practice and very overpriced. Enjoyed our night there but not wowed and left feeling a little underwhelmed.
Some great food. Bit disappointed that they had run out of some dishes but then it's a good excuse to return which we'll do soon
Fantastic good cooked to perfection great staff always helpful and friendly setting is well coming took friends who had never been they could not believe food could be so good would recommend in a hart beat
Only thing that was wrong was we were 15 minutes late due to local road closure. Fantastic home cooked food, Sarah had the Jerk Chicken, and I had the game pie, reasonably priced, welcoming staff, great service, not rushed at all, overall a fantastic experience, will certainly visit again soon.
We wanted a glass of proseco, but had to buy a bottle as they don't sell it by the glass. We advised when booking that we had one Coeliac. Despite this the manager was unaware and quite obviously had made no provision. The menu looks lovely, however the Vine seem to think that stating they can do GF options they cover the bases. For the avoidance of doubt don't go here if you want GF. All they do is remove the Gluten item from the meal. Mussells in sauce ( no bread) Dry bland steak (no sauce) or seasoning with a tomatoe and mushy peas. MY GF option was utterly disgusting. My wife says she has had better !! Should you wish to have a stunning meal in Clent in a lovely environment go to The Fountain.
The staff and ambience were lovely. We started with a shated British game charcuterie plate, which was very good. My daughter had the moules, which were delicious. My dad said he enjoyed his venison saddle. My ribeye was alright, but a bit dry. All in all, we very much enjoyed our dinner.
The Vine at Clent is lovely comfortable restaurant in the countryside but easy to get to. It has a warm pleasant atmosphere & the staff are welcoming. We have been many times & have always enjoyed it. The service is good & waiting time for drinks & food is minimal. There is a varied menus which changes often. The food is excellent always fresh, hot & delicious. So if you want a warm friendly place with lovely food at a reasonable cost look no further try the Vine.
First visit and will definitely be back. Amazing value for stunning food with a very relaxed atsmosphere. A proper country pub that I didn't realise existed anymore. Thoroughly recommend on food alone which included stilton mushrooms on brioche (looked massive but light as air) and jerk chicken with the best potato fries I've had, sweetcorn fritter and Jamaican coleslaw. Something for everyone on the menu. enjoy!
Quiet chilled atmosphere. Young but polite and professional staff. Food was excellent as always. Had the sausage and mustard mash and wife had the hake. Both were delicious. We be returning soon.
Soup was very tasty but sadly only Luke warm. Apricot lamb tagine was too sweet . Excellent Crete brûlée Lovely front of house staff and a lovely setting with a great log fire
The restaurant is absolutely wonderful. The food is to die for and the staff are very pleasant. Beautiful surroundings and a good selection of ales
Lovely atmosphere, the staff are great and the food was delicious. Would recommend the duck egg starter. They also had a lovely fire going which was nice.
Food was perfectly cooked and service was excellent, especially as the poor chap was working by himself. Lovely open fire crackling away behind us, and in good weather you can sit outside by the stream. Best of all? Dog friendly bar!
Wonderful food as usual. Staff polite and attentive. Good old fashioned, unspoilt country pub in a beautiful location. The real fire was welcome on a chilly evening
The Vine Inn such a wonderful English country pub and the food is excellent. My Husband and I have visited here several times and it never ceases to impress. The 5 course meal and wines superb, especially like the crab cake with asparagus delicious. Also to have each wine explained where the grapes are grown and flavours in each to compliment the dish. The service was very good all in all a lovely memorable night.
Very pleasant and helpful service. Starters were nice, and particularly appealing were the fresh, warm breads. Main course was sadly disappointing - roast pork dinner contained the usual items, but was barely warm and was uninspiring/bland. The vegetables were well cooked (i.e. not soggy), but the meat looked (and tasted) as if it had come off a roll rather than the bone and the roast potatoes were overly large and heavy. Needed some pork off the bone to give both meat and gravy some taste, and perhaps some red cabbage to add some more flavour too. Would try again as previous meals there have been better.
Great to find a nice, friendly pub that has tasty Gluten-free options! Friendly staff, good service, we will most definitely be going back there again.
Very good value for money. Extremely wide choice on the menu for adults and children. There is literally something for everyone. Generous portions. Friendly staff. Would highly recommend.
The food is always perfect, the beer is great and the service is wonderful and combined with the location it's an amazing all round experience
Easy to park and a fantastic rural location. Excellent food from a menu with lots of choice and attentive service on a busy Saturday night.
Overall am average experience but it was a busy Saturday night, asked for mashed potatoes instead of chips but still got the chips. I would go again but maybe try a quieter night
Nice and friendly place. Good varied menu with something for everyone. We had the game pie and tagine. Both were well cooked and tasty. We would return. Thanks!
We have been to the Vine on numerous occasions and every time the food has been excellent. This was the first time we booked through Quandoo and I was bit dubious but everything work fine. The pub was busy on the night and it did take time for the food to arrive. Once again the food was excellent.
A wonderful country inn with a gentle, authentic atmosphere and fantastic, locally sourced food. The menu is varied and memorable and when the fire is lit this place is idyllic.
