Fantastic food & service as always, wish we could have stayed for the band but didn’t realise they were on & we’d made other plans

Booked for 6 and went for a walk before lunch. Phoned Wheatsheaf to increase to 8 plus we might be a little late. Not problem at all. Mixture of dishes ie roasts, veggie, fish. Everyone complimented the food, the quantity and the price. I had mushroom and spinach lasagne with garlic bruschetta. Absolutely delicious. Bit large for me so took half home in foil provided by pub. We will def go again.

Ordered a Thai salad. Not impressed. When I spoke to staff they were not happy but changed my order. When came to pay bill we were charged for two meals. After some discussion salad was removed reluctantly.

Good food, good beer, friendly welcome, and enjoyed the quiz, we'd like to come again. Puddings were particularly nice. Only observation is that if your party contains people who aren't keen quizzers they're perhaps not quite so keen to pay to take part.

Food is all cooked from fresh is lovely and hot, value for money .Staff very helpful, polite and didn’t have to wait ages to be served. Only negative is it’s a bit chilly and a little cramped as not much room but only a tiny pub won’t let it stop me visiting again. Worth booking as gets filled up quickly .
