Further Information

With its industrial-chic tiled walls, rustic wooden furniture and copper lamps combined with the 1930s-style decor, London's The World’s End Market is a chic take on a gastropub, while the walk-in meat fridge and fresh fish counters give this stylish Chelsea eatery a market feel. Begin your meal at The World’s End Market with some freshly-shucked Colchester rock oysters with market sauce, tomato salsa and lemon, or the charcuterie platter served with chutney and a sliced baguette.

Then, choose from the selection of market-fresh meats and fish – options include skate wings, grilled tiger prawns, British T-bone steak, lamb chops and monkfish – or tuck into one of The World’s End Market’s gourmet burgers. We recommend the blue cheese burger (Guilford beef, caramelised onion, blue cheese, shallots, tomato and homemade mayonnaise). Sprawled over three floors, in the basement you’ll find a cocktail bar while the first floor boasts a terrace and bar area, making it an ideal location for both dinner and drinks. Situated on London’s famous Kings Road and open seven days a week, The World’s End Market is one of Chelsea’s culinary hotspots. To avoid disappointment, making a reservation beforehand is recommended.

This place has some amazing dishes; fish in particular. I've been a couple of times in the past and had some really nice grilled fish. But tonight was disappointing. Not terrible, but a bit bland and mediocre.

Average food and terrible service. There were very few diners in the restaurant ( about 6) yet we had to keep chasing the waiters for everything - I'm not surprised there was hardly anyone there at lunchtime.

The starters, meat and fish were delicious. However, the sides were terribly small which seemed ridicliously stingy for veg and potato! Overall good experience and nice setting.

Good friendly service from all the staff. Although average menu and food.. not many options for vegetarians on the menu, which was disappointing. Nice, clean interior.

Cocktails reasonably priced. Food good but overpriced for what it was. Atmosphere and design of place great. Relaxed but nice. Service a little slow at times.

Even without anything we intended to order being available and having to move elsewhere, the staff were still helpful and the place well designed. Looking to go back and try the food soon.

Food was good, but not as good as previous visits. The staff were lovely, but we had to continually chase them for service. I hope it was a one off.

Friendly staff, lovely interior, clean etc. Starters very good. Main course, I had steak which was grey and tasted really awful, had to send it back, wasn't offered an alternative, my friend had haloumi and mushroom burger which he said was very good.

Great service and friendly staff however the fish was over cooked and I felt the quality of the tuna wasn't great and it was tasteless without the salsa.

We were very much looking forward to this experience, unfortunately we found it to be very disappointing. Our waiter was very intrusive, and made us feel that we were being rushed off our table. We left immediately after our main courses as we didn't want to prolong our experience. I doubt we will return, what a shame.

Poor service, very poor burger with small portion of burnt end of fries. Unorganised staff and would not go again. First time and last time. Too many better places locally.

All fish menu was not available and the waiter did not tell us in advance. The service was poor and the food we finally ordered was nothing special

Very Expensive meat ! Not possible to eat . Even in high quality restaurant like Cut - less expensive hundred times testy , juicy dry aged meat !
