More about the restaurant: Topkapi Palace - Prestwich

Topkapi Palace Prestwich opened its doors to the public relatively recently, but their name will be familiar to anyone that knows their food in Manchester. Seref Dursun began the city’s love affair with Turkish cuisine by opening up in the city centre in 1979, and this incarnation on Bury New Road in Prestwich seeks to bring all the things that made the original popular to the suburbs, making the restaurant scene in Bury and Salford that little bit more exotic.

Thinking about making a Topkapi Palace - Prestwich booking?

Manchester is a city of many kebabs, but few have endured and expanded like Topkapi Palace. The Turkish favourite has been in operation in the city centre since the late 70s, and have now expanded out into North Manchester, with their Prestwich location on Bury New Road. To relegate the food at Topkapi Palace Prestwich to just kebabs though would be a misstep. Alongside the grilled meats come a plethora of Turkish mezzes, moussakas and more, which are designed for sharing, allowing for a fantastic family meal.

You don’t stay in business for as long as Seref Dursun has without picking up a thing or two about pleasing a crowd. The menu at Topkapi Palace Prestwich is designed with the whole family in mind, from sharing starters to generously-portioned mains and a solid children’s menu. Their Bury New Road location differs from the Manchester city centre restaurant in that it is designed around big communal groups, something difficult to pull off in town, and they don’t disappoint. The queues prove it, so make sure you book your table in advance!
