Uni Restaurant Belgravia is one of London’s best and brightest Japanese fusion restaurants. Taking its name from the Japanese delicacy, Uni specialises in a unique blend of Japanese and Peruvian fusion set within a chic and stylish restaurant on Ebury Street. The Uni menu showcases the likes of Wagyu beef, black cod, sushi, sashimi, maki and tempura with the Peruvian twist evident in ceviche, tiraditos and anticucho. All of this should be washed down with one of the premium sakes on offer, or perhaps a pisco sour or chilli mojito is more up your alley – either way it’s all delicious. Located a stone’s throw from Victoria station and the Apollo VIctoria Theatre, a reservation at Uni Restaurant is essential for Japanese and Peruvian cuisine lovers in London.
This was for a birthday celebration. Previous reviews had been very good, and we were particularly interested in the Peruvian fusion part of the restaurant's offerings. The food and service were very good, and the atmosphere "different". The only small criticism is that there was relatively little of the Peruvian part, despite the menu being fairly extensive. West end prices (to be expected), but would recommend / revisit.
The food was delicious. The ambiance was extraordinary. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Make sure to reserve if you are trying to go pre theatre.
Friendly staff, but did not ask anything about our needs or experience on the taste of food (E.g. Do you want some wine? How does it taste?). The dessert was a disappointment
