Excellent food and service. Highly recommend Fresh ingredients and flavours amazing - went well with good choice of cocktails Will definitely be returning again soon
I can honestly say that this was the best Indian food I have ever eaten. All good was full of exciting flavours and fresh. Their service was impeccable too. It is a little pricey but I'm happy to pay the extra for such quality. I'll defo be going back.
Friendly, attentive staff. Food isn't your standard curry-house fare, it's a bit different, and very tasty. I would say that the Veer Dhara is the best restaurant in St Albans.
As always great food superb service, staff was very helpful and looked after us so very well. I would recommend this restaurant to all curry lovers, authentic indian restaurant
Nice food staff very welcoming & polite went for the set menu £24-95 per head good section of different dishes & all cooked well & presented well with no wait despite being very busy .
Overall Good food. Decent atmosphere. They were Willing to adapt a dish for one diner. Although service could be a little slicker / more attentive.
The food is delicious try tasty and they are willing to adjust the spiciness. Portions are generous so it is best not to order too much. Otherwise you waste money. And it makes it pricey.
Excellent food from a very diverse and unusual menu. Backed up by excellent service in a very nice setting. Thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for authentic Indian food.
Management staff acts like in the office environment way . Need more hospitality spirit. Like to have a choice of banofie pie in Sunday buffet.
Seam free reservation. Great choice of food in Sunday buffet. Lots of choices for vegetarians. Good for meat eaters too. Great quality and good value. Well worth a visit.
Sauce was fantastic as ever. We all had fish curries, on this occasion a bit stingy on the quantity of fish but probably limited supplies as they were heavily plugging the xmas menu. Staff excellent and wonderful Indian wines, especially the white soul tree.
Great food, poor service and very noisy atmosphere! They really need to match the ambience and service tithe quality of the food to ensure continued regular return visits.
lovely food, décor good, good atmosphere. feels like a fine dining restaurant rather than your "standard" indian restaurant. felt it was value for money too. well done- & keep it up!
Really enjoyed this restaurant, having been to Northern India, this is more akin to the food they serve there, and in no way resembles the standard fare that you get in your normal high street curry shop.
There was a short set menu, and the food was well cooked. However there was no vegetables apart from a potato dish when we already had naan and rice. The people serving knew nothing about the dishes and were showed no interest in serving us. The manager was very helpful though.
Terrible service. asked for water five times & coffee & dessert 4 times.service charge added to bill which we didn't pay. First & last visit
Lovely restaurant with great service and very tasty food. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a nice Indian cuisine. Will defiantly be going back very soon!
The food never disappoints here! I'm addicted to the salmon tikka! Tried the spinach this time too-delicious!! Even the after meal chocolates are to die for!!
Brilliant!! Great food , as always!!. The ambience and service was of high standard. The attention to detail and friendly staff made our evening. Highly recommended!!
The restaurant was quiet when we went (Tuesday, early dinner time) the service was very good and personalised. The food arrived quickly and was excellent! Will definitely be eating there again.
A great place to dine, a relaxed atmosphere and a good selection of dishes. A great place for the whole family on Sundays with a selection of dishes at a buffet service.
There were 3 of us.We had booked online but they clearly weren't expecting us.The first waiter didn't understand English so it was difficult to order drinks. The 2nd waiter who had spent a long time on his moblie and was dressed so casually we didn't realise he was a waiter took our order. The 3rd waiter bought the food quite quickly and it was good although we didn't get the poppadums we ordered. There was another 1 or 2 other members of staff at the restaurant. If fact they were as many staff as customers. The restaurant was cold.
Excellent food - service a little slow at first but it was very busy...Always friendly though...Very enjoyable night - will come again for sure.... Thanks
Went on a Saturday night for the first time. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious food and reasonable prices. The restaurant is also in a real good location. Would recommend!
Veer Dhara is my favourite St. Albans Indian food offer, because it is spicy not sweet, and they pay really careful attention to what is safe for someone with a gluten allergy. The staff and chefs always insure that some members of our party get food that has absolutely not come into contact with glutenous ingredients. That is hard to find in a restaurant, and speaks highly to their attention to quality and customer service. Just as important, the food is really good. Fresh and spicy. Maybe too spicy for some people, but my family enjoys it more than the too sweet offerings of most other Indian restaurants in St. Albans. The restaurant is lovely and clean. Usually the service is excellent... sometimes it is a little less than perfect, but even then, it is friendly - just maybe not attentive. The Sunday buffet with the magician is a great family treat.
Restaurant overcharged me -said I wanted to pay £8 & they took £18 and didn't give me a receipt. Just saw in my bank account.
great food, excellent service. Authentic tasting curry. A discreet gem. Lamb curry was excellent as where the nan breads. will definitely be going back to try the vegetable curry dishes soon.
We love this restaurant. The food and service are always first class and we are regulars. We normally have to book as the restaurant can get quite busy although Sunday evenings seem to be a little quieter. The chilli honey cauliflower is just the best.
Probably one of the best Indian restaurants I've ever had! Absolutely brilliant, food service, value for money, everything. Tried to find a constrictive criticism, but couldn't!!
We had a great evening and despite diverse food tastes everyone was happy. The food was all delicious and the staff helpful and friendly. My only comment would be that it would be great if there could be a milder tandoori chicken as this is my kids favourite and both options are quite spicy.
Pleasant lunch menu that is very reasonably priced. Not a huge variety but most people would find something they liked. Food was well presented and the service acceptable.
Good, novel menu (not just the usual fare). Attentive service but not great at giving advice on the more unusual dishes on offer in the menu.
Veer Dhara One is genuinely the best curry that I have ever eaten. The food was all cooked to perfection, and the flavors were amazing. The staff were also all extremely polite and happy to help us. I couldn't recommend this more.
