More about Vine - Middlesbrough, Middlesbrough

As we said, Old World charm is everywhere to be seen inside Vine thanks its elegant and, not to mention thoughtful, decor. And this is fitting, really, given the restaurant is housed inside one of Middlesbrough’s most historic buildings on the corner of Roman Road. Vine is also a family-run spot with a kitchen that is headed by chef Sean Calliste who’s not only extremely passionate about artful food, but he also developed his trade alongside Marco Pierre White and Gordon Ramsay. The menus at Vine take international inspiration, and they come alongside a well-stocked bar with over 16 craft ales on tap.

As you’d expect, quality is everywhere to be seen on the Vine a la carte menu making it likely one of the best in Linthorpe, and perhaps all of Middlesbrough. Choose from an impressive selection of chicken, duck, fish, beef or pork dishes, as well as delightful vegetarian options. The New Zealand back of lamb is a delight, as are the seared scallops with corn pudding, mushrooms, brown butter bacon sauce and peanut butter. The Prince Edward duck stew is also a winner and consists of a warming blend of garlic, tarragon, tomatoes and aioli. So as you can see, Vine serves up superb internationally-inspired food and Linthorpe is very lucky to have this restaurant – book a table today!

This was my second visit and I had recommended it to my husband so he came along for a Father’s Day lunch. It was a superb meal, as good as the first I had enjoyed there, the service is consistently great too! Love this place and is quickly becoming a favourite.

Lovely surroundings and staff pleasant! Service a bit slow but food was beautiful when it came. I did feel it was a little pricey however .. paying £18 for a main then having to pay £3.95 for side!
