Since opening their first restaurant over twenty years ago, Voujon have blossomed into a chain of excellent Indian restaurants with locations across the country including their popular branch in Stonnall. For authentic Indian cuisine dished up in a stylish setting in the Walsall area pay a visit to Voujon on Chester Road where you’ll find traditional and modern Indian dishes to cater to all tastes, with an array of meat, seafood and vegetarian options.
Providing Walsall and beyond with authentic Indian cuisine for a number of years now, Voujon is known for their high-quality food and their restaurant on Chester Road is no exception. With elegant decor, this up-market restaurant is the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion or for those times when a takeaway just won’t cut it. Using the finest of ingredients, traditional Indian cuisine is given a modern update and the menu features an abundance of choices.
For starters we recommend the garlic tikka and mushroom (your choice of succulent lamb or chicken marinated and tossed in fresh garlic and mushroom) or paneer shashlik (cubes of Indian cheese with onion, pepper and mushroom). Signature dishes on the main course menu include jaipuri, a dish from Bangladesh with meat slow-cooked in a clay oven, fresh mushrooms, capsicum, and onion served in a special Bengali sauce. Voujon draws in diners from all over the Walsall area with their delicious Indian offerings, so book a table for this popular Stonnall restaurant in advance to avoid disappointment!
First time visiting this restaurant, and was really impressed with quality and variation of food. Prices were good and quantity of food was good, in fact we did over order because we did not know how big the plates were, we could not manage to eat it all as portions were large. The nice thing was we were offered a doggy bag to take home any food left. The staff were very friendly and efficient, and even though the restaurant was fully booked, we were not rushed and food arrived at good intervals. The restaurant itself was very comfortable with good seating, lovely white table linen and good lighting. One of our party of four was a diabetic and was pleased to find plenty he could eat on the menu. We will definitely revisit Voujon again.
This was my first visit to Voujon and I am sure it won't be my last. It was Banquet Night and having studied the unfamiliar menu my partner and I made our selection. The service was excellent, the staff were friendly without being intrusive and we were delighted with the Starter. Then the Main Course arrived! If I could find something to complain about, it would be that I ate too much and my partner didn't help out enough. The Restaurant was pleasantly decorated and furnished and the toilets were spotlessly clean. All In all, an excellent evening out to celebrate my partner's birthday (and at very reasonable cost).
Fantastic food, well presented. Great value , We had poppadoms, starter , main course with side dishes and Nans plus alcoholic drink each, £25 a head. And if you can't manage it all you can take home the leftovers. Get yourself booked in !
Food was really tasty and the staff were cheerful and friendly. We sat in there for hours chatting and were made to feel extremely welcome
Very friendly reception, ordered drinks & pappadums, all arrived quickly, ordered food, chatted away, more drinks & chatted on, then realised an one & half hours had passed since we had ordered our food, when we asked if we were to be fed tonight, we were told we had not ordered starters!! as if that was relevant!! The food the food arrived quite quickly after they had been reminded we were still there & it was good, but the Naga Chicken was mild & not as described or anticipated. We had a good very chatty evening but it was disappointing to have waited so long we were ravenous by the time it arrived; the coffee was good & they apologised for the delay & gave us vouchers for a discount next time we came. We will go again, but will be aware of chasing them if the food does not arrive reasonably quickly!
This was our first visit to Voujon in Banbury which we booked last minute. Despite being exceptionally busy we were treated with utmost respect as we had to wait a short while so we could have one of the best tables. Therest of the evening did not disappoint - simply some of the best Indian food we have ever had with professional and friendly service to match. The restaurant and toilets were spotlessly clean too. We cannot wait to return!
My wife doesn't like Indian cuisine. I convinced her to try it in a new place. We went to Voujon in Banbury and... The restaurant is amazing, great food (it was first time when my wife love it), very nice people. It was excellent time an we definitely are going to return there.
As usual a very nice meal .Excellent value for money on a Tuesday night Very friendly and attentive staff welcome you in and look after you well even though it can get extremely busy .Food fresh and very well cooked and presented .
Excellent service and made to feel very welcome as always. The food is simply some of the best Indian food we have ever had. It is fast becoming a regular haunt for us especially with such good value on banquet night.
Been to Voujon again, always enjoy the food, service and decor of the restaurant. Service a little slow between starter and main course, but they were very busy - 100 people +. Always our luck to sit down and then everyone else walks in, but will go again.
