Wiltons in St. James’s has been providing London with the finest oysters since 1742. Although having moved locations a number of times throughout history, Jermyn Street has been Wiltons’ home since 1984. Despite the moves, the quality has always remained the same high level and Wiltons has even been a favourite dinner spot for many a British royal throughout the years. The standards at Wiltons are extremely high with regards to everything from the world-famous oysters and seafood, the strict and efficient service, right down to the dress code. This is fine dining on a different level and a master class in sophistication, serving up a mix of British and European classics along with only the best wines, beers and spirits. You won’t want to miss the opportunity to experience Wiltons. Bookings are essential to avoid disappointment.

Ok so it’s overpriced (£6 for a small side dish of cabbage for goodness sake) but this is old school, great cooking, great atmosphere, great people watching, attentive service and relaxed. Well nearly. If you’re a bloke and wearing a jacket they will tell you off if you take it off. But I forgive them for that and the six quid sides because Wilton’s makes meet feel relaxed, comfortable and happy. Save up.
Lovely ambience, personnel very kind and superior quality food. A must go place in London.
