In case you weren’t already aware, Yuzu is a Japanese fruit which, for this fine West Hampstead restaurant, represents a whole approach to Japanese cooking: freshness, crispness and simplicity. Yep, as Japanese restaurants in London go, you won’t find too many as pleasing as Yuzu. The fare offering here is made up of traditional Japanese cuisine as well as more modern takes, meaning sushi, sashimi, crispy tempura, a wonderful nigiri a la carte as well as, of course, plenty of rice and noodles. On Fortune Green Road, just off the main Finchley Road, Yuzu Restaurant is a Japanese essential.
We had a very tasty and satisfying meal at Yuzu. The sushi selection was prepared to a high quality and well presented. The other dishes were also excellent - particularly the duck salad.
Great sashimi, sushi, miso soup, gyoza, edamame beans. Pleasant and helpful service, and peaceful ambience (quite quiet for a Saturday night). Reasonably priced given the quality.
Lovely food, lovely service, cosy and comfortable. I really can’t understand why this tiny place is not packed out like other restaurants up the road!
