the wine was absolutely incredible and service was great. recommended
The food here is always excellent. The atmosphere is good, staff are very pleasant. It's advisable to book to make sure you get a table. They have some very good sherries!
Very generous portions of well cooked Spanish food. The blonde steak was really tasty and well worth the money. Pleasant surroundings and efficient staff all added to a really good night out.
Brilliant restaurant, food was great, atmosphere superb, also very well run in terms of service. The price was also good, the restaurant was full, which indicates how popular it is, a lot of returning customers.
Love it.. the food and atmosphere! Been coming here for 4 years and it never disappoints. The staff are fab and the food authentic. Would recommend at any time of the year, but on a hot summers evening.. perfect.
Lovely little restaurant on Columbia Road. Way above average quality tapas, the barbequed Iberico porc is fantastic. Excellent value for money. Sole point of criticism: selection of music did not enhance the overall experience. Who wants to hear mainstream pop in a cosy and cute little tapas bar? Something quiet and classy would suit the place much better.
As usual we had a great dinner. We had very tipical Spanish tapas including croquets, octopus, padron peppers among others. We had an amazing red wine too.
Excellent food, great atmosphere and lovely service - highly recommend for any occasion. Flame grilled cider chorizo is a must to order and gorgeous organic wine.
Beautiful little family run restaurant with excellent food and wine. The tapas and paella were delicious! The staff were very friendly and attentive. Lovely place.
Amazing food and great service. Best Spanish food I have had outside of Spain. Highly recommended for anyone that wants to have a great meal out!
The food was delicious, the wine excellent and the people very friendly. Overall a pleasant experience, located in one of the best streets of East London!
Amazing! Fabulous restaurant, fabulous clientele and food brilliant. Will definitely be going back! Sangría was also very tasty and meat was succulent and done to perfection.
We had an amazing time. Andy, Eduardo we're excellent hosts! The food and el vino were superb and delicious. The icing on the cake was seeing Gilbert the cat, whom was the real reason we came to London and Columbia Road all the way from Toronto. He put on a great show for us on the street and said hi! Bravo Laxeiro! We will return. Rico and William
Excellent small restaurant. Very good choice of tapas - and great value for money. Large portions - padron peppers, strips of pork loin, rice blackpudding with quail eggs and well aged steak were particular highlights. Very well priced wine - smooth Rioja for £25. Friendly service - all in all an excellent place.
Really enjoyed our visit, enjoyed some of the best tapas we have had in London. Ordered mainly staple dishes like patatas bravas and gambas al ajillo but all were cooked to perfection and very tasty. Great tortilla de espinacas too. Great neighbourhood feel to the restaurant and friendly staff
Great little Galician / Spanish tapas restaurant: this has been a neighbourhood favourite for years. Good food, good wine, cosy atmosphere, friendly staff, great value. And if you're lucky a friendly cat called Gilbert will come and sit with you.
Great quality food as usual but we had poor service today - the drinks took forever and three dishes had gone cold before the final two dishes arrived. You expect tapas dishes to arrive at differ times but not 20 mins apart! The waiter was inattentive to us but happy to chat to the people next to us. It's disappointing as we usually have a great experience at Laxerio.
I have been in Laxeiro restaurant several times and it is always great. Quality food, reasonable price and lovely service. I will definitely go again.
The place was lovely and the food amazing. Tipica spanish food. Definitelly i will raccomend this place for the people that want enjoy a nice dinner
A warm, welcoming atmosphere. Not rushed and the fact that our party arrived at different times was accommodated with ease. Food varied and excellent. The lunch special is very good value.
Good service and very attentive. Good selection of meals. We had fish, which was cooked to perfection. Although it was a platter for two, I think I could have eaten it all on my own. Good ambience. Would definitely recommend .
The food was good and the staff welcoming.. overall a great experience for our group. definitely book in advance given the place is quite small.
Excellent food , good service and it feels properly spanish. I really like this restaurant. Just wish they'd let us pre book on a sunday!
The atmosphere is great and the food and wine are excellent. The Paella is the best I have tasted inside or outside Spain. You have to book very rarely can you walk in off the street. Great decor - contemporary and relaxed
Good selection of food on menu - food is always great. Reasonable prices and although restaurant is rather limited in space there is a nice intimate and comfortable atmosphere.
Excellent food and service, Spanish traditional food at its best. Highly recommend the pulpo, the avocado & mango salad and the crema catalana. The food is utterly delicious and evokes the memory and taste of the home cooking.
I am worried that if people read this we won't ever be able to get a table there again! It is an absolutely wonderful place with great food, friendly service and lovely atmosphere.
Really enjoyed it; staff were friendly and food was so delicious! It really made my night out wonderful! The sangria we ordered after the delicious grilled fish platter was so refreshing and brought it all together :)
near perfect small family restaurant - cosy location, friendly staff, great food, good wine selection, we strongly recommend the home made vermouth cocktails as aperitifs.
Really enjoyable evening - food was delicious and atmosphere was buzzing. Booking worked smoothly. What else can I say! Suggest you reduce number of review words required!
Really lovely food and nice atmosphere. We loved the white Rioja and garlic chicken. Staff could have been a little friendlier as they seemed to rush around a lot. Still lovely and fab location.
The food was very flavourful, portions were decent and filling, nice atmosphere. The Sangria was very fresh and if we had more people definitely would've opted for the Paella as every table that had it was raving about it.
This is our hidden gem. Since we found it, we've never been to any other tapas bar. Authentic, amazingly tasty cuisine, great service, cosy venue. What more can you ask for?
Fantastic food - best paella I'very had in London. Service was slightly haphazard but it kind of added to the feel of a traditional family run Spanish restaurant.
We really enjoyed every dish. A great place to go with your family and friends to enjoy the food. We will definitely eat here again.
Excellent food, nice environment, good value for money and superb people running the place! The morcilla is great and the croquetas inmejorables 10 over 10!
Great food! Staff helpful. Good portions and good selection. Decor is not very Spanish but clean and bright. Price is reasonable with drinks for 2. People was £78.00
A great venue with fantastic food and great service. Theatmosphere for a midweek night was great - tables outside too which was great for a warm summer evening
An absolute find! What a fabulous little restaurant. Make sure to book ahead as its a small and popular haunt. The atmosphere is upbeat but not too lively. Soft music, loads of chatter, attentive staff, utterly delicious food and fab Spanish gin. The king prawns are divine and just how they should be - fresh, juicy and enormous. Well worth a visit.
Great food, nice atmosphere and lovely service. All the fish plates are Amazing, good selection of wine, nice cold beer, highly recommended. I will definitely go back!! Thanks
Great as always! Service a tiny bit hectic but we enjoyed the new additions on the menu. The iberico ribs are amazingly good and the cheese board as a cheeky dessert is fantastic! And.... The Montsant Bri wine is just the perfect red for that!
Great food at a reasonable price in a lovely atmosphere. Staff were very attentive and friendly whilst only a stone's throw away from Shoreditch on Columbia Road
Fabulous food and great value for it. Tiny place, but we were able to book the same day. worth booking, though. Had a fantastic evening and the staff, though clearly hardworking, were great. Would recommend to anyone in the area who wants really delicious and authentic food that isn't pretentious or overpriced.
The best tapas in London, without a doubt.. awesome food, great atmosphere and fab staff. And the location is quirky too in a house on Columbia Road, Shoreditch.
Top food and fantastic attention! In my opinion is one the best Spanish restaurants in London so far. Every single time my wife and me we go is such a pleasure.
A great little find! Had lunch here with my daughter, after reading great reviews about the food. We were not disappointed,in fact had a very tasty meal. Loved the ambience, and were made to feel very welcome. Will definately be returning.
Absolutely fantastic as always! I normally book a table for two for my partner and me. Today I brought almost all my team from work and our dinner was exceptional. Everybody loved it and will definitely be back! It's great to know that the service and quality will be top notch whether it's a table for two or eight! We really love having this little family run restaurant so close to home. And of course, we'll be back and back again!!
Always delicious, you cannot make any wrong choices from the menu. Being a small place works in Laxiero's favour for an intimate affair with friends or alone.
Excellent Borth Spanish food which takes you to Galicia from the first bite. Price is OK if you compare with other franchise who claim Spanish food. And the quality is 10 times better
Excellent! Superb! Always very very best! A real northern Spanish cuisine!! Cannot stop visiting even though it takes some good time to get there. Absolutely love it.
