I can honestly say this is the best food I have eaten in a long time. Not a long menu ( good ). 3 mains and lots of sharing starters and snacks. Vegetables are treated with a twist; crisped, charred with a cream/foam/ sauce. All very innovative and fresh. Simply served in solid rustic tableware and non frilly glasses for the good value and well chosen wine. Excellent friendly staff. The mussels in brown crab meat sauce with cauliflower is so deep of flavour it tastes of the sea. Have it. I leave London to go to my home overseas tomorrow but a Table at 12:51 for a final lunch would be just glorious.
The food here is incredible- three lunch plates for £15 and you will never spend £15 better! I was blown away by the quality of the food and everything else is top notch too.
Really friendly, pleasant and knowledgeable team; I could probably do without the "we suggest 2 of these and 4 of those" - type tips, though. Good wines and ok beers, but great food. David
