Good service and very friendly staff food was very good

Good service great food as always!! We visit here regularly, or offers goid value for money (especially if you visit during happy hour/lunchtime specials). This is always freah and tasty.

We both ate from the special evening menu which was extremely good value. There was a reasonable selection to choose from, both in the starters and the main course was a choice of pizzas or pastas. We chose pizzas which were both tasty and a very good size. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the food arrived very promptly. We have already recommended Achellos to both family and friends and we will return.

Service was very quick. Chips were lovely. Pizza was pretty good though have had better in Newcastle. Shame they didn't have stuffed crust as was looking forward to trying it. Good value. Overall pretty decent.

This is a fantastic restaurant. Excellent Quality food and great Service from the lovely staff. From a cost point of view, it is value for money. A++++

Really good, reasonably priced food. I ate from the Fixed Price Chicken menu. Starter - Garlic Mushrooms - was a little too garlicky for me, but apart from that, everything was delicious.

What a fantastic meal and family celebration we had at Ancellos tonight. The food was really lovely and we all had different things to eat. The staff were so polite and very attentive too. We’re all looking forward to visiting again in the near future.......

Was told it would be half hr wait but was about 50mins could understand but restaurant wasn't that busy,but food was lovely longest we have ever waited but I will still be bk

First time.. was recommended by a friend!! Arrived was shown to my table everything about the place was perfect staff, meal and atmosphere. I love my food to be fresh and hot you ticked all my boxes thank you chef will defo go again 👌🏻👌🏻

The restaurant was really busy so we weren't really surprised that our main course took a while to arrive. Dessert didn't take long at all but the chocolate fudge cake wasn't warm as requested. Other than that everything was great. Food delicous and staff was friendly.

Lovely restaurant, very clean and comfortable, great staff and excellent chefs. Family restaurant that makes you feel at home with good food and plenty of choice.

Delicious food with very generous portions and the service was brilliant. Nothing too much trouble. Well done on a busy new years eve. My favourite Italian restaurant in the area

Our 2nd visit and we were not disappointed . Food is lovely and prices are very good even better that you take your own alcohol as that saves a packet . We will happily recommend Achellos

Friendly staff, delicious food, suggested we went out to get some wine as they don’t have a licence. Went early so the place was very empty but buzzier by the time we left at 7.

Warm welcome and nicely presented freshly cooked food was excellent. The service was also very good without being intrusive. This was the fifth time we had been here and the all round standard has been consistently high. The location is handy and local but nothing special.

The service and food was very good, the Sunday special was really good value for money and we could not fault the meal, will by going back soon.

Staff were really friendly and helpful. There was also lots of choice for my celiac girlfriend due to the gluten free pizza bases! The gluten free garlic bread was amazing!

Excellent food and service. Well priced. Good lay out. Would defo recommend and return. The sauce in the meatball starter was brilliant and the carbonara was excellent.

Main courses were awful. Stroganoff was like a thick gravy. When discussed with staff. The response was “that’s the way we do our stroganoff “ Cannelloni was rubbery. Staff comments “risotto and mascarpone” think she meant ricotta.

I have been here a few times and the food is always excellent. Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. Best restuaurant in Newcastle in my opinion.

Food- good Service- exceptional, probably the most attentive of any restaurant I have eaten at in the last year Ambience - really noisy at the start but probably due to the time we booked (6.30). By the time we left at 8pm it was much quieter

The staff were very helpful and very friendly. The food was great, a good selection to choose from and generous servings. Great value for money too.

went here for Sunday lunch and was really good, offer on 2 or 3 courses for a very reasonable price. staff great especially with my 4 year old son and would definitely recommend for an good Italian meal.

The food was incredible and really put the place in my good books, the staff were well suited and really proved that they loved working there, I had a pasta dish and it was the creamiest cheese I've ever experienced, true Italian food art and so I already want to be back again for a second plate.

Great food, great service, can't rate this place highly enough! They don't serve alcohol, but as a consequence do allow you to take your own in and don't charge corkage!

Good value for money. Food has a good standard, the waitresses are very attentive, overall very satisfied with our experience we will come back soon.

Very friendly staff, great prices, and the fact that you can bring your own alcohol makes it so affordable. Great atmosphere. Will definitely come back.

Great food! Would highly recommend. We have visited on Saturday evening and it was really busy but the service was really quick and all food was served quickly and it was fresh.

The food was fantastic great value for your money the service was very quick and very pollite and always asking if everythink was ok very place reconmend it to anyone.

Fabulous food, polite waitresses although service slightly slower than expected. Atmosphere very noisy and casual canteeny ! But as I say food great value for money. Deffo go again knowing what to expect.

First time we have been to Achellos heard really good things which is why we decided to go first impressions the restaurant is decorated to a high standard we were shown to our table and despite the restaurant not being busy took a while for the staff to take a drinks order having said that the staff where lovely also took a while for our drinks to arrive and also to then take our food order when our food was served it was gorgeous and very good portion garlic bread was delicious too our mains where just as tasty and again really good portion we didn't have a check back to see if everything was ok and again was difficult to get someone to take a drinks order but I do think this was due to purely a lack of staff we asked for the ice cream which was part of the special deal and again waited for ages for that too - all in all tho this place is lovely and we would definitely go back and recommend to others it's a little gem but you haven't got to be in a hurry :)

Amazing food and service, will definitely be using again. Party of 13 and everyone was very satisfied. The calzones in particular were very impressive. Fairly priced too.

Good service, fabulous food, great value lunch special going back tomorrow for Sunday lunch. Really busy which is a good recommendation itself but still served quickly.

The service was good and the food was very good. We ordered the three course meal which was garlic mushrooms ,chicken stuffed with garlic butter and chips then finished off with ice cream 12.95
