I love Aladin - mainly because they offer Thali! We go there every time we visit Brick Lane! The service is friendly and quick. Great!

Food was rushed and slightly undercooked and underwhelming. Nothing special about the food at all. So overrated. We were rushed out after 45 mins when they brought us our bill without us having requested it as they clearly wanted the table back and we were not even offered deserts or coffees. Poor service with no effort made to make us welcome. Overpriced and service charge added to bill.

Speedy service with a good atmosphere. The food was alright - our starters (onion bhajis and vegetable samosas) were very average but the mains were good.

Wonderful food but we were rushed from start to finish. We were even presented with the bill without requesting it and they cleared the tables before everyone had finished eating. Our party of 6 spent an hour in there which isnt in our view inconsiderate. Next time we will try one of the other restaurants in Brick Lane. This one has become greedy.

No alcohol sold on premises tables to close together food average more of a cafe than a restaurant only get 20 percent off bill in you ask after the bill is given to you

Really friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant is unlicensed but ask for a card and the location of the outdoor licence 4 doors down and you'll get 20% off the price of beer and wine. The food is good and excellent mural of London on wall. Brick Lane is busy and lots of callers on the street will try very hard to tempt you into another restaurant - but be determined and keep going to the Aladin.

Great restaurant with attentive staff. It’s good to see you can still get a fine curry 30 years after I left the East end. Thanks

I honestly love this place. They are always happy to accommodate our large party, year after year, with great "table side" manners. The food is always on point and the prices are very good. The only reason they did not receive a "6" (and I would love to give them a 5.75 if I could!) is due to the tiny little quirky issue with having to bring in your own bottle... But my heart grows fonder for Aladdin, year after year and when I am in London, I do not eat anywhere else when I am craving Indian.

Staff were amazingly friendly but the broke air conditioning unit let it down but it was ridiculously hot so can’t really blame them. Tandoori prawns were recommended after I asked for normal ones and they were a bit dry so a little disappointing. Everything else was nice, especially the chilli paneer that they agreed to make me as it wasn’t on the menu.

Wonderful food and friendly staff . Food was of a very high standard and the service was excellent even though it was a busy evening. Opportunity to try different flavours before you order and knowledgeable staff. We really enjoyed our meal and will definitely be going back.

Great food, good size portions, friendly staff. Very busy but they coped well. Our party had booked, we had to wait about 5 minutes for a table. Not too bad considering how busy they were. Not keen the way staff approach people on the street, but lots of the restaurants do It to get the trade.

This was an extremely disappointing experience... despite reviews on some sites about the high quality of the food here, it was mediocre at best. We ordered several kinds of dishes, but they all tasted pretty similar... a remarkable culinary feat considering how sophisticated and complex Bangladeshi (Indian) cuisine is. There was not a single dish that wowed anyone. To make matters worse, there was an extraordinary level of noise. This is clearly a restaurant that welcomes large (very large) groups of diners who are more interested in having a good time than the food. One table in our small narrow room (the Jasmine partner of the Aladin chain on Brick Lane) had at last 30 people at it -- all men whose yelling and screaming made it impossible to talk to our own table partners. Even the 23-year old son of our friends described the scene as "chaotic". Groups like this should be given rooms to themselves so that people who are there for the food an enjoy themselves. When I mentioned this to one of the service personnel, he seemed surprised that this was an issue and simply replied "you know this is Aladin". Clearly, the restaurant is living off past successes and is simply going for large numbers and middling food. So, if you are really interested in good bangladeshi food in London, try another restaurant.

I booked Aladdin but they sat us next door, they said it is the same chef but they shouldn't do that. They rushed us through the meal. There were not desserts I gave 4 points because we liked the food. They charged £4 extra as a mistake plus service charge They are a bit of a disaster. We know this place for over 20 years. we decided we will not bring guests anymore too little time to enjoy it.

The restaurant team catered for 20 guest and they did this splendidly. The food was very well presented and tasted fantastic. Our American guests fully enjoyed themselves and the food that was served to them. All round great restaurant and great staff

Awful service. There were 14 of us on my sisters hen do, it took 30 minutes for someone to take our order. We were then ignored by 5 waiting staff and food then came out 45 minutes later but that's only because I had to find the owner to complain. He apologised by giving us bottle of Tesco finest rose to share which was disgusting. I wouldn't recommend or go back.

The award winning listing on the menu for the lamb tikka set my expectations pretty high. It was good, no doubt, but I expected a bit more. The naan parseme(?) was excellent. Overall a good experience.
