More about the restaurant: Aldo & Bruno
Aldo & Bruno of Hornchurch is a charming Italian restaurant that’s the legacy of two well-travelled cousins who loved nothing more than sharing Italian cooking with the world. They were quite the pair, Aldo perfected the classics while Bruno was all about experimenting, and it’s their family behind the wheel at Aldo & Bruno restaurant today. Right on Butts Green Road just up from Emerson Park train station, Aldo & Bruno Hornchurch is a delight and offers a menu absolutely brimming with quality dishes and new things to try. Worth the trip from wherever you might be in Romford or the surrounding areas. Reservations here essential.

Thinking about making a Aldo & Bruno booking?
Unlike some Italian restaurants, the menu at Aldo & Bruno Hornchurch won’t overwhelm you with choice. Instead, it offers a selection of sharing boards, starters, pasta dishes and main courses that are refined and done just the way they should be. So, if a group of you are heading to Butts Green Road then consider goat cheese board with orange zest and crushed pistachio, or the board of thinly sliced and air-dried beef topped with parmesan shavings and a creamy lemon sauce. Both are a different to the norm and seriously delicious.
In terms of pasta, the Aldo & Bruno Hornchurch kitchen operates by allowing guests to select their choice of pasta – penne, spaghetti or tagliatelle – followed by their choice of sauce, all of which vary from classic to more experimental, as is the Aldo & Bruno way. For us, the traditional amatriciana is always a win. It consists of slow-cooked pork cheek with a touch of chilli, onions, fresh basil and tomato. Aldo & Bruno Hornchurch is one of the best Italian restaurants in the area and we can’t recommend it enough.
