For a fancy night out you can easily miss the mark in Brighton, but Almas is one of the safest bets if you want the full package in one place. An elegant Lebanese eatery, Almas transforms into a classy bar as the night wears on, and with space for over 150 diners and groovers there’s no reason to move on anywhere else. Situated on Western Road just off Church Road in Brighton’s fashionable Hove district, Almas puts on superb but affordable Middle Eastern food that celebrates the range of influences behind Lebanon’s unique culinary heritage. There is creamy hummus and bright pomegranate hinting at Persian and Arab influence, while puffy pastries and grilled meats suggest Ottoman influence, and an incredible spread of Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and Lebanese treats in between makes Almas ideal for large group gatherings where even the fussiest of eaters will be satisfied.
Although we booked and received confirmation of our booking for this restaurant. When we got there we discovered that the restaurant has closed down. Very disappointing!!!
