Very good excellent food, very friendly staff , it was very good experience
Received great service from start to finish. The food was very good, very tasty. The decor is very authentic and warm. We had a very enjoyable evening all round!
The atmosphere is amazing with Traditional settings, the food was superb, the service was impeccable "Especially Murad" who is an amazing tentative employee that made us feel at home, the manager and all staff were extremely welcoming... 100% recommend for family and special celebrations , I will personally recommend to all my friend and family.. well done.
Wonderfully delicious food, very kind staff but most of all - amazing atmosphere with beautiful Turksih colors, pintings, and lamps. Would go there again and again!
Every time I go to London, I try to go to Antalya because you are always felt welcome there. Our flight from Geneva was delayed and when we called the restaurant to inform them that we would be late, they were very understanding. The food was delicious and the portions were quite generous. The staff were very efficient and nice: the boss even came to our table to say a few words. He even offered us the dessert and the tea. We had a really wonderful time at Antalya and we will be back. Lovely restaurant which I visited as a party of 9 from UCH for the Festive lunch. The starters were amazing and plentiful! Every member of the party was happy with their mains. I had the mixed grill which was lovely and the portion was just right (not too large but not too small either). The deserts were Baklava, ice-cream, rice pudding dish and it was great to be able to try a bit of each. Tea and coffee were a nice finish. The service from Burak in particular was very good. He was quite funny and attended to our needs. Sevji was a very good waitress and was prompt in clearing our dishes and/or re-filling our table. The restaurant was quiet in the afternoon but I am sure the atmosphere in the evening is a lot different. I would definitely recommend the restaurant and will certainly go back one evening. Well done Antalya!
This restaurant is very pretty on the inside with elaborate walls and ceilings. The service was friendly. The place was clean. It's easy to get there -- just a short walk from the Russell Square underground station. My husband and I were visiting from the US and met another couple, who had taken the train from Dover, for lunch. We had a lot to catch up on after 49 years, so we ate our lunch and sat at the table and chatted for four hours. No one tried to rush us. Toward the end of our stay more people were coming in, and it did get a bit loud. I had the stuffed grape leaves which were good; they were nice and firm. They did require a fair amount of lemon, salt, and pepper. I was really, really looking forward to the vegetarian moussaka, but they were out of it. They were out of my second choice too. It turned out that the only vegetarian main course that they were not out of was the spinach and halloumi dish. So I ordered it. Again, it required a fair amount of salt and pepper, but it was good. It was certainly an ample portion; I was not able to finish it. My husband ordered the tabbouleh and the halibut. He said his food was "okay" but "bland." One of our guests ordered the garlic mushrooms and moussaka (not the vegetarian variety); he seemed to like the garlic mushrooms, but said that the moussaka was "different." He also commented that it was very filling, and he did not finish it. Our other guest ordered the feta stuffed phyllo and a lamb dish. She said that both were good, and she ate every morsel. We did not order dessert, but teas and coffee. We were given baklava (which was really delicious) and honeydew on the house. So, overall, I would say that it is slightly above average.
Antalya was lovely a family run restaurant we didn't need to book but ther could be time in the year you might need to. The menu chooses were varied and not expensive my sister and i choose some hummus to go with the bread they give you when we sat down which was lovely and full of flavour my sister had mousaka with a salad and I had half a stuffed chicken with loads of mushrooms in a white sauce. The chicken was fantastic very moist and the stuffing sweet and tasty. We would recommend you give it a try and we will be going back again.
We went to Antalya for lunch on a bad day for them, as they were short staffed due to a road traffic accident to one of them. The impression gained, though not confirmed, was that it is a family run restaurant. However, the remaining waiter did his very best and coped really well, so that there were no obvious problems. The décor is impressive and elaborate, based on the Ottoman Turkish period. The Menu is extensive and contains a Vegetarian section. The starters were tasty and the mains a little bland. The cost was quite low - £65 for two courses for four. But being lunch time on a very hot day, we did not have any alcohol. Recommended.
Following closure of Effes restuarant Gt Titchfield Street had to find a new location for a group of friends to eat. Antalya was easy to find and had typical Turkish decor. Very friendly waiting staff and attentive but not intrusive service. Our group of five old friends all selected the standard three course meal comprising mezzes, Turkish mixed grill and fresh fruit and and baklava. Lots of wine and beers and coffees. Everyone found food excellent and well cooked. Total bill less than £160 with no obligatory service charge. Highly recommended.
