Asian Grill

Asian Grills are a pretty diverse bunch: whether that be the yakitori skewers that soak up the sake on a big night out in Tokyo, or the table-top self-service steaks of Korean barbecue, whether you want a full suckling pig served up Singapore-style or a fish over coals like they do in Chiang Mai, you’re never far away from a fire and a foodstuff over it in Asia. In Birmingham, however, they take their cues from India – this is the home of the Balti Triangle, after all – at Asian Grill on Park Road in Sutton Coldfield, they offer Indian grilled dishes that are more than a little bit impressive. Try their tandoori-fresh kebabs – we’d recommend the nargis, featuring a boiled egg wrapped inside spiced mince meat and thrown in the clay oven – or the vegetarian grill options, like the shashlik, a Bengali favourite of peppers, tomatoes, onions and mushroom fresh from the flames.
