To enjoy Malaysian-style Chinese cuisine in Glasgow, there’s only one place to go: Banana Leaf. Well actually, there is two places to go as this institution is so popular that it has branched out, with a couple of restaurants in the city. Located on Cambridge Street, close to Cowcaddens subway station and stylishly decorated with palm leaf print wallpaper and chic furnishings, Banana Leaf’s city centre branch provided the perfect backdrop to a romantic date or a special evening out with friends. The menu changes every month, keeping the city’s foodies coming back for more and more, but expect to find a large array of authentic starters, main and sides, with plenty of options for meat and seafood lovers as well as vegetarians. Delicious food in a very friendly atmosphere. Went there with my daughter for a birthday outing before going to the theatre. One reason for choosing is that my daughter is a vegan. There was a great selection of starters, many of them vegan as well as a good selection of vegan main courses. Even great cocktails. Staff are friendly and very attentive.
Helpful and friendly staff. Food was extremely good and plenty of choice on the menu. Lunch deal for £10.50 was very good value for money.
The staff was absolutely amazing! They made us feel so welcome! To top that, we really enjoyed the food and were grateful for the reasonable prices. Thank you Banana Leaf!
