Few places in the UK can offer as many options in the field of Indian restaurants than the West Midlands. As a by-product of the decades of migration from the subcontinent to Birmingham and its surrounds, the standard of curry is superb, and out in Halesowen, your local dealer in the flavours of India, Bangladesh and Pakistan is Bangla Lounge on the High Street. Reserve a table now and set a course over.
Curry is close to the top of any British punter’s idea of a great night out, and for those that call Birmingham home, they have access to some of the finest Indian restaurants there are. Out in Halesowen they have an example of the genre of which they are rightly proud, in the form of Bangla Lounge on the High Street. Make the trip out, take your seat, order your Cobra and poppadums, and peruse their extensive menu.
The standouts at Bangla Lounge on the High Street in Halesowen are the envy of Birmingham, and it can be difficult to pick between them. We recommend the Tandoori Bites platter, which brings together all the offerings from the clay oven. Follow this with a house special – Chilli Sambuca is a local favourite, though not for the faint-hearted: they take chicken or lamb and combine it with chillies, a tomato sauce and a shot of sambuca. Book a table now, and experience one of the finest Indian restaurants around.
Fantastic food best curry in town. Wouldn’t go anywhere else x
Fantastic love this place, best curry in halesowen wouldn’t go anywhere else
As always the food was good and the attention to service impeccable. Good atmosphere and very welcoming. Would definitely recommend to anyone who loves Indian food to come here
Really impressed with the whole night myself and friends spent there. I had recommend yourselves as they were not from around here. The food was perfect. Staff really looked after each customer. Looking forward to booking again with my partner. . Well done ))))
We visited Bangla Lounge with our daughter just as the restaurant had opened for the Sunday evening service. I must say that it was a very good experience. The quality of the food was very good and the attentive service just enhanced our enjoyment of the evening
Fantastic food, great staff, we were a table of 6 celebrating a birthday. We have eaten here several times before and always experienced great food and service. Unfortunately a large table with adults one end and lots of quite young kids left on the own at the other end, were extremely noisy and not especially well behaved. Staff coped brilliantly, but the constant noise level and stropping of certain very young childen spoiled our experience a bit as it was impossible to hear yourself over the noise they were making. Staff did their best, it was clearly a challenging night but wouldn't put us off visiting again.
We had another very pleasant family meal at this our local restaurant. Food was good as always, service efficient and atmosphere nicely busy. Staff could have smiled more, but they were rushed off their feet. Also, I'm really not sure that the complementary @Baileys/ Brandy and water really works. We had a majority of non drinkers in our party and it doesn't finish a meal off well to have to decline a ready poured glass, especially for those that would have liked a drink, but could not partake for medical reasons, say.
Me and my wife recently visited Bangla lounge like we had on several previous occasions. The used there New Years deal which was any starter, main, rice or naan plus ice cream and coffee. This was exceptional value as the main I had is usually £8.95. Thoroughly enjoyed yet again and have already booked again for next week and will be taking friends. Final note staff are very attentive and made sure we was well looked after and considering how busy it was that was really impressive
We hadn't been to Bangla Lounge since the fire a few years ago. What a nice surprise, lovely surroundings, great food with some "fusion" choices and friendly efficient service. Will definitely go again(soon)
Lovely food, good-sized servings and friendly people. You always feel welcomed at the Bangla Lounge and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place for an evening out. I particularly love their Tamarind Chicken.
