The food was really good, although we did feel it was a bit of a stretch calling it a wine bar as they didn't have a massive choice. Lovely staff and we even back for lunch the next day!

Setting is a little quirky but food was excellent, service good and atmosphere improved when a few more diners arrived. Will definitely b going back.

Food was lovely, staff friendly, location perfect and environment was relaxing. Two of us dined there on a Sunday lunchtime and both thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

We arrived early and as the restaurant was very quiet, they accommodated us. There was no necessity to actually book! The reception was friendly and the service was reasonably fast once they got going. The menu was very restricted as it was Sunday and roast dinners were being promoted. Three of us had Soup and the fourth had the Mushrooms with Stilton and they were quite pleasant. Two ordered the Lamb Roast, one the Turkey Roast and one the Nut Roast. The Nut Roast was very enjoyable as was the Turkey. My Lamb however was a little fatty and chewy. I complained and was given a small dish with extra Lamb & gravy. The meat was not cooked on the premises and is not 'off the bone'. Lamb is my favourite meat and this cut was generally disappointing. We finished with Coffees. The bill for the four of us was just under £70 including drinks. We would return again when the full menu is available because our individual experiences were mixed.

Our experience last Monday lunch at Barbarellas. Firstly, our friends who hadn't been before commented on how very pleasant the room was. Secondly, everyone was very impressed with the excellent menu and first class food. And thirdly, the young lady who served our table was so polite, pleasant and attentive to our requirements. Overall we had a brilliant lunch. Oh! nearly forgot, the wine was also excellent.

I booked on line which was easy to do. The welcome we received was friendly and our table was ready. We both chose from the specials board and my Hake Casserole was delicious and my friends chicken was also lovely. We enjoyed a very nice bottle of wine (Macabeo from the wine list) and she had a dessert. I am GF and there were choices for me marked on the menu, but the dish I chose off the specials board was also GF. However apart from Eton Mess there was not dessert available for me (even good old ice cream had honey comb in it), so sad to miss out on a dessert. We enjoyed our visit to Barbarellas and would happily go again.
