Bare Grills - Weston-Super-Mare

Excellent food. Bit expensive for what it is. We paid £10 for a burger and £6,50 for chips with a sauce. Quite smokey inside too. Meant we all had to sit near a door with a draft as our eyes were watering. Noisy as it was busy for a small place. Upstairs is normally better. Unfortunately the end let it down. We had paid a £40 deposit which my partner paid on the phone and I queried it as we only had 6 people and online said deposit was £5 per person for parties over 8. The lady at the till did not apologise and just kept saying the policy has changed with no explanation. We also saw service charge added to the bill which again online on their webpage said is optional but added to tables over 8. We did not pay the service at all and only paid for the meal. When we were trying to work out the bill we were also told if we over paid they would not be able to give us change!!!! Never heard of a place unable to give change.... so I put in a complaint when I got home and am waiting for a response. It is a shame as the food was great.

Bare Grills has very tasty food, and good range (but not if you're a vegetarian lol 😉). fab service will return

Very good customer service, went that little bit extra to make our night special. The food was quite simply gorgeous. Could easily become addictive.

We went here as a family to celebrate my husband's 45th birthday. It was a bit smokey and hot. Another table opened a window which made a gentle breeze. My daughter put some mayonnaise on her fries (which came out a bit watery) having told the waitress my daughter then received freshly cooked fries straightaway with no fuss. The burgers were big and tasty. The only issue I had was I'd brought a birthday cake to sing happy birthday to my husband (which I'd asked in an email and didn't receive a response) so took the cake to the restaurant and they wanted me to pay a £5 surcharge for eating the cake in the restaurant but there was no charge for just slicing and taking it with us (which is what we did).
