Beirut Lounge beckons you on cold nights in Byker, a warmly lit den of brick walls, cushioned seats and roaring fires. One of those fires is the grill, caramelising oodles of tender meat and juicy vegetables that get presented in a colourful array of dishes celebrating Middle Eastern traditional eating with a distinctly Lebanese bent. The tender, slow-cooked lamb is a particular specialty here on Heaton Road, a mere minute’s walk from the Byker metro stop. But you can basically pick anything from Beirut Lounge’s spread– including plenty of vegetarian, gluten-free and vegan options – and we guarantee you’ll be satisfied, especially because this restaurant in Newcastle’s inner east also has one of the friendliest, liveliest and most helpful waiting crews you’ll find in the neighborhood.
Very recommended. The food was top quality - I can't remember when I had better tasting lamb. My partner is vegetarian and she had many dishes to choose from too.Servis very friendly - smiley and explaining at request details of Lebanese cuisine. We will be definitely back soon.
Really nice, relaxed restaurant. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced. We even got a pot of Lebanese tea - compliments of the house! I love Lebanese food and was certainly not disappointed.
Amazing food and good service for a great price, its bring your own booze with no corkage charge. Will be returning there soon in the future.
