Bellini is still one of the best, if not the best local Italian in the North East. It's incredibly consistent. Retained excellent quality ingredients. Prices, though notably increased are justified. Serve one of the freshest pints of Peroni you will ever have. A really first class fillet steak. The chicken plates served various ways are excellent. Pizza is a subjective experience, but here it's excellent quality, the ingredients shine through particularly the cheese, the base has changed recently I think for the better, it's a little lighter but whatever flour they use, it's one of the tastiest I've ever had. The staff are some of the most disciplined and friendly you will find, nothing is too much trouble. Similarly the kitchen as you can see from your table runs like clockwork, the hallmark of a quality Italian restaurant. The skill and dedication shown in that place is outstanding and it shows. It's one of those places you can tell every person there is busy enjoying themselves. Very proud to have such a wonderful restaurant where I live, long may it continue. It can be very busy at times, so well worth booking ahead early on. Enjoy! You won't be disappointed.

We came for a meal after my daughter’s drama show with in-laws from down south. We were really impressed with the atmosphere, food and most of all, the service. Everything was great and we’d definitely return and definitely recommend a visit.

The chicken with peppercorn sauce was by far the worst I’ve ever had. I’ve never seen so much sauce on a plate that was tasteless to me it looked like a carton of cream had just been poured on. Sorry to say definitely won’t be going back
