With the sounds of Edith Piaf filtering out to the street, candles in wine bottles and the walls adorned with French paintings, Bistro Jacques is a Parisian bistro delighting the locals of Shrewsbury that simply must be experienced. Perfect for shoppers, theatre-goers and the business crowd alike, their French brasserie menu is brimming with French classics like poulet forestière of pan-roasted chicken, wild mushroom and smoked bacon and roasted lamb rump with purple potatoes, chantenay carrots, crumbled feta and minted red wine jus among many others that will satisfy all guests from dubious diners to pure Francophiles. Located at the junction of Pride Hill and Mardol in the town centre, reserve a table at this rustic French restaurant and be delighted.
Efficient, service by friendly staff. The restaurant had a good vibe and was busy, hut there were plenty of staff to meet demand. We very much appreciate the birthday gift!
