Bistro Mirey in West Kensington, London us unlike almost every other restaurant on the planet. Upon entering, the easy bustle and friendly faces in the restaurant will put you at ease, until the menu blows you away. What looks like classical French cuisine at first glance becomes a lot more intriguing once you see that the chefs have expertly managed to weave classical French with traditional Japanese flavours, to bring you something truly unique and unforgettable. Where else in the world would you find a sake cured sea trout with crab bisque and sea vegetables, or savoury crepes stuffed with spinach, tofu and Japanese mushrooms? Only at the Bistro Mirey on Lillie Street in West Kensington.
What a lovely restaurant. The owners are adorable and their food delicious. Unusual fusion of French and Japanese, reflecting the owners. Attentive service without being annoying. What a gem in an area that has few good restaurants.
