Bistro Pierre Liverpool is an irresistible French restaurant that oozes Gallic charm and that unmistakable French bistro feel. Right on world-famous Mathew Street as you head out of Ropewalks towards Liverpool’s Cavern Quarter, Bistro Pierre is open for lunch as well as dinner – there’s a very good pre-theatre menu as well and a Wednesday Wine & Dine set up – and the menus consist of French classics done with aplomb. Begin, perhaps, with chicken liver and grape pate before moving onto braised duck leg, beef bourguignon or goat cheese and sweet potato frittata. If you love authentic French food and great French wine as well, there’s really no better place in Ropewalks or the Cavern Quarter than Bistro Pierre Liverpool. Advanced reservations are essential.
Great service and good food in a pleasant environment. Good menu choice should suit all tastes. Adjacent to Matthew Street for those wishing to sample the Beatles story.
Fab food as always thanks to the lovely waiter who recommend an alternate white wine for my friend when they didn’t have what she wanted
Lovely meal in a relaxed atmosphere. Staff friendly and helpful. Ordered six meals, steaks, pork and bourginion - all delicious. Would recommend a visit if you haven’t already tried it
