A hip new Asian cocktail bar and restaurant on Liverpool’s Seel Street, Blind Tiger didn’t take long to become one of the city centre’s most talked-about locations. Situated inside of a basement, this speakeasy-style establishment in the Ropewalks is the epitome of cool, with chic red leather seating and exposed brick walls giving the environment a particularly sultry feel. Open every day of the week until the wee hours, Blind Tiger is a must-see bar and restaurant.
It doesn’t get much cooler than Blind Tiger. Found on Seel Street, close to Liverpool Central in the Ropewalks precinct, this speakeasy bar and restaurant has already gained a huge following despite its rather recent opening. Beautifully decorated throughout, with dark red colours, mahogany furnishings and Oriental-inspired artwork, the dining area is simply stunning. Regardless of whether you stop by for a cocktail with friends or plan to have a full meal, you’ll fall in love with this chic bar and restaurant in the city centre.
It’s all about the dim sum at Liverpool’s Blind Tiger. Try the Shanghai-style pork dumplings with ginger soy sauce, the homemade prawn & chicken sui mai, or mixed vegetable gyozas with hot and sour ketchup. Bigger appetites are encouraged to go for the vegetable pad Thai with chopped roasted peanuts and fresh lime or the crisp confit duck leg with cucumber, spring onion, hoisin and pancakes. Be sure to order one of Blind Tiger’s signature cocktails (the menu changes often) or order a classic Singapore Sling, made with Beefeater Gin, Heering cherry liqueur, Benedictine liqueur, grenadine, fresh pineapple, lime juice and soda. Reservations are a must for this popular Ropewalks and city centre spot!
The staff greeted us as we came in and were so friendly and accommodating! He was on his own serving but he was so efficient and prompt with orders. The food was delicious best I've had I'd say! The ambience was beautiful. I couldn't fault the quality and such value for money! I have found a new favourite, definitely going back. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Absolutely amazing food and the staff were so helpful will definitely go back Very relaxed atmosphere not an expansive menu but incredibly tasty and well explained by the staff and all freshly cooked
Really lovely food, and great service. Highly recommend this reasturant. Everything is full of flavour and not to expensive. Will defiantly go again in the future
Amazing will be going agin such high quality food and drinks along with the service. Very indi and dark inside but it adds to the atmosphere.
My partner and I visited Blind Tiger on a Friday night for dinner and first of all were taken aback by how beautiful this basement restaurant is decorated. It is really well done and feels very intimate and luxurious to sit in. We ordered a Singapore Sling and an Asian Salvation which were nice, beautifully presented but tasted rather lacking in alcohol. The food is good and since the plates are small and fairly prices you can try a good spread of the menu between a pair. The highlights were a Thai Curry that was a special, Salt & Pepper Chicken Spring Rolls and the Roast Pork Char Sui Bun.The staff are very nice and we received really good service, a dish we ordered was forgotten about and we had to ask after we had finished the rest of our food but they apologised and got it straight out to us. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank them for a lovely night.
We really wanted to eat at Blind Tiger. Regretfully, my partner is allergic to shrimp and crustaceans, and we were told that they could not be sure that any dish had traces of these foods. Therefore, in the end we could not eat anything. So, if you have one of these allergies, be aware that you cannot eat in this restaurant. However, they were very friendly and we were treated great (they applied a discount on drinks, and the waiters were very nice). Thus, we cannot say anything about the food, but we will definitely we will be back for a drink. The atmosphere is amazing!
Really enjoyed Blind Tiger, Asian Tapas with a twist. Everything was fantastic including the cocktails which were very tasting and inventive! We had prawn crackers, Pork Char Sui bun, Japanese Chicken (cannot remember name - like goujons), Aromatic Duck Pancakes and Spring Roll. Only reason I am not rating a 6 is because the Japanese chicken was bland - everything else was fantastic. Great service also including a very friendly and professional Maitre D. Would highly recommend!
I can't complain about any aspect of our evening last night. We were slightly late following our taxi getting lost and our booking was honoured after a call to the restaurant. Service was impeccable and our food and drink came fast and each item was delicious! Strongly recommend the salt and pepper spring rolls!!!! My boyfriend ordered a cocktail which the restaurant couldn't prepare (they were missing an ingredient) but this was taken off the bill and he was given a free alternative. The manager was extremely apologetic, but there was no need at all, we had no complaints. 100% returning
Lovely food and atmosphere. I was a little disappointed with a mix up... the waiter told us that a meal he had brought was sticky chicken when in fact it was tofu bao and my friend started to eat it which meant when the waitress pointed out the mistake i only had half of my meal left and unfortunately we didnt get a chance to rectify this in any way so just carried on with our night. Other than this slight hickup we enjoyed our cocktails and food.
Had an amazing dinner and drinks here.food is exceptional must try the spring rolls and all the steamed dumplings there is nothing on menu that is not fantastic. Cocktails are well worth the money they are made with love and the oncologist is just so clued up if you want a special experience of flavours. The manager is just wonderful and Kate our waitress was just so helpful.this place is a cool hip place and the best eating establishment in my opinion.will be back very soon
