Bringing some French elegance to Perth’s city centre, Breizh is a charming brasserie located right on the High Street. Combining elegant French decor with a menu of classic Gallic dishes, Breizh is the perfect place for a romantic date or a cosy afternoon spent enjoying French food and wine. We recommend starting off with some ouef pochés £ (hen egg poached in red wine with smoked pancetta and baby onion jus) before moving on to some moules marinières, confit duck leg with lyonnaise potatoes, creamed spinach and red wine jus, or some traditional boeuf bourguignon. Great friendly atmosphere & excellent food. My moules marinière were superb & the steaks perfectly cooked. My friend’s calzone was huge & very tasty. The crepes here are my favourite, we had these for dessert & they didn’t disappoint. A great meal & very good value.
2 course lunch for £13.95 was excellent value for the money The staff were helpful and attentive without being overpowering No complaints would definitely go back
Friendly relaxed service and delicious food and wine. Seafood risotto was excellent but despite temptation as usual I enjoyed my favourite Popeye Gallette. Thanks again.
A return visit to this wonderful restaurant for my birthday. Food, as usual, was delicious and well presented and the staff are friendly and attentive. Bonus was a lovely piece of coconut cake on a slate, with 'Happy Birthday' written in sauce! Looking forward to our next visit!
We booked Breizh for a pre theatre dinner prior to a concert at Perth Concert Hall. The restaurant is pleasant with a good menu including daily specials. Our table was booked for 5.30 and it was closer to 6 before our orders were taken. There appeared to be only one member of staff serving prior to 6 who was clearly under pressure. He came and took our drinks order eventually and we asked to order food . He said he was only doing drinks. After 10minutes or so he did come back and take food order. The food was good. I am coeliac and for sweet asked if I could have crepes suzette made with buckwheat. The waiter explained this mixture was made up and not sweetened so would not taste good. They used to make it to order! Disappointing a nice restaurant with good food just lacking a little customer service at the moment and for the cost I would expect a little more as it used to be!
Overall we enjoyed our meal at Breizh. However, we went there before going to the Theatre, and only after ordering from the Full Menu did I notice that the table next to us were ordering from a 'Pre-Theatre Menu'. We were not offered that and I wonder why? I did not raise it at the time as I did not want to spoil the evening for my dining partner.
Good food at a fair price. We weren’t offered water or bread unfortunately and this should have been done. The service was very good apart from that miss. Decent wines for the price and attractive decor. Excellent pizza cooked in the wood fired oven and the Breizh favorite a Gallete we’re both satisfying offerings.
Fabulous meal and service as always. Staff are friendly and interested in you as guests and why you’re there - we were asked if it was a special occasion because we ordered some fizz and they were genuinely interested and pleased for us when we explained it was. We managed 3 courses each (following a break after main course!) and all were fabulous - from the salad to the steak to the crepes and sorbet, we couldn’t really fault anything. We will definitely continue to visit.
Been to Breizh many times at lunchtime for Galettes and cider. This was our first pre concert evening meal which was just as good. As always, a nice relaxed atmosphere with good food and friendly service. A good place to eat.
After looking at menus from various other restaurants, Breizh was found to have one of the best choices of fish dishes. Fantastic service - very prompt! Food and wine excellent and great value :)
