Good service, fish portions a bit on the small side, mushy peas portions too large! Not quite sure how the bill worked out so expensive, (9 x fish & chips, + 2 bottles of wine, 1 bottle of water = £200?), but we enjoyed the experience. A bit on the noisy side at times.

Disappointing meal overall. Standard very low compared with other Fish & Chip restaurants. Starters were served on chipped crockery and the batter on the mains tasted of stale oil. Wouldn't return.

Excellent customer service and a great place to celebrate graduation. Good menu choice and flexibility. Lovely decor and welcoming atmosphere our waiter was excellent and managed a very busy restaurant single handed

The service was good and the fish was tasty, but the chips were a bit soggy. The vegetarian option was no longer on the menu, so my companion had very limited options.

Great service, food, fish and chips delicous. Only a small restaurant so we always book in advance. Take away at the side also. All in all really enjoyed our visit.

Reserved a table for 5. Service unbelievably bad. Untrained staff and priority given to chip shop customers. Nothing like previous visits. That was our last!!!!!!

Pretty poor. Menu not on offer just fish and chips. Fish wasn't great as the batter was undercooked and too heavy. Will not be going back - we much prefer Murgatroyd's.

The Charlie Brett's haddock and chips with mushy peas and a proper pot of tea hit the spot. What stopped the perfect 6 for me was no BROWN bread and serving the pudding in a tin.

a bit of a shock to hear only fish and chips was on offer, however, no issue as we booked with the intention of having fish and chips. Also, surprised that garden peas could not be done.

Really good service. Good food. And the restaurant is nice and small. When we went it was quite quiet and was just nice to chill out and relax after a long day.

Excellent fish and chips with peas and bread and butter. Cleanest toilets I've seen in a restaurant for a long time. Makes quite a statement when facilities are spotless. Staff were also brilliant.

What a pity more people do not know about this gem of a restaurant. At 7.00pm on a Saturday night we were the only people in there, another couple having just left. The food is extremely good and staff very helpful. This is our fourth visit and it won't be our last and our friends, who had not been before, will also be back very soon. Keep up the good work. Roger from Kirkstall.

This is the second time that I've been to Charlie Bretts Fish Restaurant and I have really enjoyed both times. The food is delicious and really well presented. I had a roast dinner and the yorkshire pudding was massive! I really liked the sauce with the beef, it was very tasty! The decor inside is beautiful and there is also outdoor seating available for warmer days. The service was excellent and the staff are pleasant. The food is reasonably priced and there is lots of choice on the menu. I will definitely visit again!

Lovely little restaurant, the food and service was great! Would definitely go back, would recommend the fish and chips, although there are other choices. Nice touch for the home made bread and butter or oil.

Brett's has a nice atmosphere. The food was very tasty, and the menu was a lot more interesting and varied than I was expecting. They serve nice local beer.

Whilst it is known for fish and chips, this little restaurant offers a lot more! Had a fantastic 3 course Sunday meal at very reasonable prices, would definitely recommend and will be visiting again!

Disappointed we couldn't get fish and chips but the food we did have was lovely. Obvious that each dish was cooked to order, the waitress was very nice and attentive. Will certainly be returning!
