We had a great meal here. The service was excellent and the staff were charming. Of course it goes without saying that the food was excellent too.

Friendly staff and huge portions in a pleasant setting. We had a good night out whildt watching the evening view over Swanage bay. Take an appetite to this bistro. you can also drop in for a coffee or lunch during the day.

Service good, food average, glasses dirty, setting good, but not somewhere we’d go back to. One of the waitresses didn’t know who had ordered what.

Had a really great meal here on Saturday. Really tasty cheese fondue to start with made with local cheeses - plenty of bread, easily enough for the two of us. We then had Sea Bass which was cooked perfectly with a very tasty Thai style sauce. Finished off with Christmas Pud ! The food and service were both great. I would recommend a visit.

Our son gave us a group on voucher to go there, they refused to accept it saying they stopped dealing with group on 3 months ago, the vouchers date it expired a week after our visit and it was bought 4 months ago when they were still dealing with them, didn't even say sorry ...

Very disappointing - I'd booked a table but when I arrived he had to check they were serving food! Sandwich and jacket potato available and specials but when order was placed they didn't have the ingredients. It was also dirty with 2 washing machines in the restaurant area! However great view!

The food was good, but they had to check what we had ordered even though written down. The place fillets were a fillet, not two or more so we were either not given enough or they need to change the description. the staff could do with some customer service training. The restaurant is definitely not as good as it used to be.

It has a been a while since we last visited and we remember it as being a great buzzing place but it wasn't all that busy for a Saturday night and the food was ok.

The food was good, but the service was terrible. The staff were disorganised and not coping. Nobody seemed to know what they were doing. It took over an hour to get our food

My 53rd Birthday and the third occasion that i have been to the Bull and Boat when staying in Swanage. However, this will me my last after a disappointing experience. I booked the tab;e well in advance and made the Bull and Boat aware that my mother was gluten free, but they struggled to cater for this. My meal was unsatisfactory and when I complained, staff could only say sorry and no attempt to knock anything off the bill. Poor meal experience.

We went to the Bull & Boat as part of my Birthday celebrations 6 people and a baby We were shown to our table and menus were on the table We asked if we wanted drinks but hadn't been given the Drinks menu! Drinks order sorted We ordered our food A while later 2 starters turned up a while later the three other starters turned up, to be fair all very nice Mains arrived mine was s rare Sirloin it wasn't Rare medium at best My other halfs Sea Bass was just one small fillet a measley portion for £18.75 Our plates weren't cleared away so in the end I complained I have another table booked next Saturday for 9 but am seriously considering going elsewhere

The staff were really nice and it had good food. Expensive but worth it. Lovely view of Swanage Bay - and not too busy either which was surprising.

Despite the restaurant not receiving my booking through the Quandoo app they were still able to accommodate my party of 8 on Mothers Day. They were a little short staffed but the food was good and the setting is great on a sunny day!

Great location, friendly staff, the battered tiger prawns are amazing! Very enjoyable evening. Perhaps a little noisy as very a large party was taking place but would thoroughly recommend this venue.

We were running late and rang to say we were 10 mins away after arriving we were basically ignored for 10 mins. Three members of staff all too busy. Food was ok but service really lets this place down. We won't be in a rush to go back when other places in Swanage offer a nicer welcome to their customers.

All very good but our allocated table was scrunched up next to another allocated table. There were other tables unoccupied so it would have been better to spread us out a bit. Otherwise, all very good indeed. Scallops and chorizo, great. Duck breast, great. We bream, great. Fruit crumble, great. Cheeseboard, great. Ambience, mostly good as mentioned above.

Great food and service. The quality of the ingredients shone through. Whist this is really the low season the waiting staff did and excellent job and the restaurant was reasonably full.

Food was excellent however the service attitude was lacking . Two bottles of wine ordered and delivered with a curt "do you want these opened?" Soup spoons were thrown on the table. We had to request bread with soup ,and finally we had to wait 40minutes for desert. It really is a shame that service let down our experience Additionally someone with a large dog was allowed to enter the dining area to have drink then left . Not very hygienic.

From the moment we entered we knew that the complaints we had read about were total rubbish .the food was superb cooked fresh so be patient the wait is worth it .the wine is excellent ,but the service we received from Natasha and Jordan was first class always attentive and making sure everything was ok .would highly recommendable nd the views of the bay make it worth while .
