Right by the city centre on York Place, Carlito Burrito hums with a unique vibe born of its colourful festival-inspired decor, eye-catching decorations (yes, there are plenty of Catrina masks), bubbly staff and the heavenly smell of their mouthwatering Mexican food, inspired by street-food dishes but reaching into all corner of the Mexican culinary canon. Of course the burritos are to die for (and probably already known to many a festival-goer, since Carlito Burrito have been one of the most popular food trucks at Glastonbury over recent years) but the fish tacos are ‘lifechanging,’ the Octopussy (perfectly cooked octopus, chorizo and black beans in a ranchera sauce, served with totopos) is always popular and the daily changing ceviche is always a bomb of flavour, freshness and fiery Mexican flair.
